Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7" Book Cover, Dark Titanium

I have the 9.7 canvas cover. It looks stylish and provides no slip grip. Considering that it is built for the Tab A, it gets things right. The tablet snaps onto the two posts (it takes a bit of guessing as to where the holes are in relation to the post, but once you get one, you've got the other. The cover closes with a satisfying magnetic snap and lifting the flap gives you access to the unit. The magnet also signals the Tab A to shut off the screen. Perfect, no. As people have noted the easel setup only works horizontally. I wish that it would do vertical too. There is also no place to put an S-pen or small pieces of paper (like a business card, etc.) to provide a one-stop system. I'd love it if I could just snatch up the Tab and go rather than having to get two or three things.

This case looks very nice, before the edges of the canvas material fray. I need to cut the frayed edges off regularly. I wasn't looking for a case that I needed to maintain. The canvas is easy to grip, making the big tablet feel less awkward to carry around. The main reason I bought this case was because of the mounting system that was built into the tablet itself, so I didn't have to get bothered by the corners holding a 3rd party case. The magnet placement is pretty terrible. The only strong place to set the angle is really low or quite high. Anywhere in-between and it will not stand very strong to a light touch. There isn't really any protection to the tablet on the top or bottom, I've gotten a few scrapes already. The case also doesn't close as intended, in my... case... I have to put the flap underneath, letting dust settle on the screen.

THIS IS A FOLLOW-UP. I looked for a case for the Galaxy Tab A with S pen. Samsung got slender and sophisticated right, but functional gets a failing grade. The "magnetic attachment" is absolutely useless, as in doesn't work, doesn't do what's needed to keep the device attached to the case. MY FIX is a pair of short strips of hook-and-loop fasteners (Velcro) in the right location, and I'm good with it like this. There's a slight bulge, but I'm living with that. If Samsung had done this instead of the useless magnet attachments, I would be able to give this 4-5 stars. With my Velcro fix, I'm upgrading my rating from one star to two.

Be aware and only buy this if you're prepared to create your own fix.

I received the Galaxy Tab A as a gift and I immediately went online with Samsung to order a protective cover. I wanted something that was classy, yet functional and this product meets both criteria. My tablet is the smoky black and this titanium cover is a perfect compliment. Very pleased with this cover.

Very happy with the cover once I received it...love how it snaps onto the tabs on the back of the tablet for no slipping or readjusting like other cases. Overall I love the feel and the quality of the case.

Very happy with my Galaxy tab A cover. The fit and finish is excellent. The cover snaps into the back of the tablet. It does add some weight but it doesn't bother me. It did take Samsung 3 months for me to get this tablet because of a backorder issue which was disappointing. Overall I'm very happy with this product.

I love the new Galaxy tab A, I like the placement of the buttons I had the tab pro 10.0 before I love it but the tab A is way better it's slimmer lighter and faster. I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a tablet great job Samsung

I like this cover, don't get me wrong... It does all the things you expect a cover to do... However, it is slippery... I have dropped the tablet cause it slips out of my hand... The Leather cover I have on another tablet does not slip out of my hands.

I love the sleek design and feel of the cover. I also like the 3 angle standing mode, I did not know it was coming with that feature until it arrived. It took me a bit to get the tablet snapped into the cover as that feature wasn't mentioned in the instruction but once I did it I was very impressed. Love it.

It clicks on, so no tabs to hold it in. I love that it turns on the Tab A when you open the cover. The only con would be lack of room for any papers or business cards and the only colour was the grey.

Considering what I use my Galaxy Table A for it has been the best money I've ever spent when it comes to tablets. The features are great and it is super user friendly which is a big plus when it comes to my computing skills. Super Great Job Samsung,I will always shop for Samsung in the Future!

The concept is good but the magnets do not hold the tablet in place when used as a stand or within the closed cover. I would recommend a tablet cover like the Apple iPad magnetic cover.

The book cover is light, and keeps the tablet thin, portable and protected. The design can be a bit awkward at times to open it up in a pinch or to place it in it's flatter position. Overall, good product.
