Samsung Book Cover for Galaxy Tab A8, Gray

I just now saw this review page and wanted to voice my displeasure along with everyone else. I bought the tablet at Costco and was pleased that it included a case. Like everyone else, the corners of the case broke off in no time. Neither costco nor samsung was interested in replacing it. Super glue held for a while but now that too has broken off beyond repair. I'm an old woman who used the case very gently. Shame on Samsung.

This cover came with the Galacy Tab A8 I purchased from Costco in June 2023 and the plastic tabs that hold the tablet in place broke within 6 months.

At first it was great. My tablet fit nice and snug and the magnet was strong. Then after a month the corners started flaking away until they were gone and it didn't fit or stay in it anymore. I bought a test, earbuds and the case all at once. It was a little disheartening.

My Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 with the cover fell from my desk to the hardwood floor in my office. The Tab A8 screen was safe but the corner of the cover broke off and the cover will not longer function to protect the tablet. It is pretty expensive for a one time use protection.

I too have experienced the same situation with my case as others have expressed, the corner has broken off. I purchased the tablet through Costco and it has been working fine but the case is super poor quality. It's just used in the office sono travel and hard stowe but has given out with a few months.

So I also bought this at Costco this year. The corners have broken off and now it is useless. Now I have to find another one from somewhere. The tablet is good quality so far but the cover is worthless really. If you have any suggestions for a better replacement, I would love to know them. Thanks, Anne

The case came with the tablet that I bought at Costco... it looks nice and all that but the corner cracked and then fell off.. now the tablet will not stay in the case and I cant return it... Does Samsung replace the cases? It ruins the whole experience of the tablet

Don't use it, unless you want a "protector" that's going to drop that $1k+ tablet you paid for so much, you'd think a few flimsy lines of scotch tape would hold up better I highly recommend buying this, if you get a kick out of developing panic reflexes that only get more potent with time, each and every time your tablet jostles. I deeply regret buying this thing. Learn from my mistake.

Corners have cracked and tablet is no longer secure. Not subject to any harsh conditions. A8 Tablet is a great product let down by an inferior and expensive accessory. Most certainly a design issue and not the normal Samsung quality.

I bought this tablet at costco last august and within a month the case corner had cracked. I hadn't dropped it or anything like that, it just cracked on its own. Now the tablet is falling out occasionally because it doesn't have a good grip from the case anymore. Very disappointing for Samsung to be making such an inferior product.

The book cover case came with the tablet, purchased on sale at Costco late last year. While the tablet is fine, the plastic corners have broken off of the book cover case, making it virtually useless to hold the tablet. The tablet and case have had normal use around the house. The problem is the same as one other person reported. It is a design flaw.

This case came with my tab A8 bought at Costco in February, it's May first and even with light use the corners are cracked. I loved the case up until now and I'm very disappointed that it's cracking after such a short time.

this is ridiculously overpriced for the over all quality of coverage and use case. there are multiple options on amazon that will give you the same functionality for 1/3 the price. if you are looking for a good looking case - this is it, but just know you are grossly overpaying to see samsungs name on your case

the material feels nice, the case is overall fairly thin, and the magnets hold on well enough. simple, minimalist and functional. the problem is the s8 ultra is huge. opening up the book cover and flipping it around becomes annoying even if i'm just sitting on a couch. much more annoying if you're in a tight space like a car or plane. my biggest gripe though is probably how the pen is stored. its secure when the book is closed, or when used as a stand. but if you fold the cover all the way back for handheld use of the tablet, that pen is likely going to get bumped and fall off constantly. this case would have been much better if there was something more than just magnets holding the pen in place. a sliding cover, a piece of velcro, an elastic loop, anything.

i love my new galaxy tab s8 ultra tablet. this cover looks great and for the most part i am pleased with this cover. the tablet is magnetically held in place inside the cover . those magnets hold reasonably well but my tablet has pulled away from those magnets a few times when i wasn't expecting it. might have been better if the tablet snapped into a form fitting holder inside the cover aside from that, it is a nice cover.

it's ultra sleek and stylish!!!! just like the tab its protecting, love the magnetism all the way around, it is even what locks the tab in place at different viewing angles if your propping it up, inside has a nice magnetized slot for spen. the only down side here is that it's so sleek and low profile your corners are not protected in the event of a drop (this may discourage some from buying), however tabs are not phones and therefore not as prone to drops vs phones imo so this is a moot point for me. i love it!!!!!

out of all the samsung covers i have had over the years for tablets, this by far is my favorite. i purchased this for my new samsung galaxy tab a8 10.5. the tablet fits snugly into the cover and the feel of the cover is very smooth, but not slick or slippery. it wakes up your tablet when you open it and puts it to sleep when closed. it has the ability to stand and all controls are accessible. i love the look and feel of this cover, well worth the money.

the cover is sturdy enough, and the soft-surface rubber is nice, but it doesn't meet my needs. first, it doesn't hold the tablet securely in place. the tablet easily snaps into place and just as easily comes loose. second, the cover would be great to prop up the tablet on a desk because it folds up into a stand in just the right way. however, i usually use my tablet when lying down ? in bed reading or lying on the sofa watching a movie. for that, it doesn't work ? it needs another fold, like all the other covers i've previously purchased.

this case will not keep the tablet in place. the plastic mold that should hold the tablet in place is warped and will not securely in place. i have returned it to best buy for them to help. they noted that they have seen a bunch returned for this same issue. i exchanged it, came home to find it the same problem. i will be returning this tomorrow. too bad, my first tablet was a samsung note 10.1 from 7 or 8 years ago with a samsung case and it was great.

Product doesn't secure tablet. Be careful when you carry your tablet in this item that the tablet doesn't slide out and onto the ground. Poor design.

the quality of the materials and design of the magnet positions is solid but warning, this does not hold the tablet very tightly! the tablet constantly slips out of the cover. it slips out from the long magnetic holding strip on the left. haven't had an issue with the tablet falling on the ground or table yet but i can imagine that happening eventually.

when operating under landscape mode --- excellent. however, its usefulness is diminished when trying to use it in portrait mode..... i use tablet as a kindle reader.... a design that easily allows both modes would be appreciated.

i needed a case for my tablet and this case checked all the boxes. a light yet a tough and all over cover. it has a nice texture so it has feel to it. it gives it a nice notebook look to it.
