Samsung SmartThings Hub, White

i have about 15 smartthings devices, and 1 month after my warranty expired, the hub would not connect or reset. contacted samsung and they said i would have to purchase a new hub. well, guess what, you can't... seems as samsung has stopped supporting or making this product line. seems a bit too much of a coincidence that my hub died without being touched.... ive noticed other people are having the same issue as i am right now. i strongly believe samsung is sending out signals to kill off these devices in order to make people abandon this line of products but not be fully aware all the other devices they paid good money for, still work - but that doesn't matter- without a hub, no other way to connect the other devices.

Quit after 8 days past warranty i purchased a smartthings hub along with several smartthings devices. when my hub quit working just outside the warranty i called customer service for assistance, after trying to get my hub back online it was determined that the hub is defective. samsung would not stand behind the product past the one year warranty. this is generally acceptable for me but it is barely a week past my purchase date. further, they could not tell me what brand hubs work with samsung devices. i am very disappointed that i could not get much more than a year out of a samsung product. i would not recommend smartthings. i have several hundred dollars worth of smartthings devices that are worthless because i am told other hubs will not connect to them. lesson learned, samsung does not care about customer satisfaction.

i purchased my original hub 2 yrs ago. it truly has helped a lot. my cable guy couldnt believe the strength and stated he would check out a hub for his home. i have added additional devices in my 4000 sq foot home and needed an additional hub. it solved the issue immediately. i am very pleased with this product and highly recommed it.

this is a bit of a review of the overall smartthings products. the company put outt this product and other sensors, which they no longer sell.. the smart hub contantly loses connection and now has no automation function due to the lack of sensors or ability to buy them.. better off sticking with google home or alexa especially now with their routines.

samsung's smartthings hub works perfectly fine, performs without problems and has a great and timeless design - all as expected from a high-quality samsung product. set up was quick and easy and the performance is superior to the wink hub which has been replaced by the smartthings hub.

i have had the toughest time trying to get this thing to connect to any devices. i've had the wink hub, which was dead simple to connect to. this hub is garbage. it doesn't recognize anything.

i have a household full of 5 year plus z-wave a zigbee devices. the smartthings hub would not connect to any of them. 15 days return policy makes it very difficult to spend time solving issues. i am not stuck with a completely unusable device from samsung.

Wink hub started charging monthly fees so Smartthings is the way to go for in-home integration with ZWave and Zigbee! I actually prefer this to Wink now that I've used both. Better interface, and better instructions and no shady monthly charges.

I bought this hub online and was sold a 2015 version of the hub , I now realize there are newer versions I’m trying to add HoneyWell Switches, I got one to pair that was 15’ away, the other switch would not pair at all at 25’ When it does pair it takes a long time to load. Online support is very poor

I own one of the original Samsung SmartThings hub versions, which was a breeze to set up. I purchased this as a gift for someone, and found setup to be miserable and unsuccessful. You can't use the traditional SmartThings app (now SmartThings Classic) to set up this hub. They force you to use a new version SmartThings app (Samsung Connect) that's not even compatible with any smartphone that is non-Samsung. What a terrible concept and Samsung has definitely taken many steps backward in their technology with this fiasco.
