Terrible Monitor
Had to have it repaired once for distorted lines when turning on the monitor, started again conviently after warranty ended, this time with dead pixels.

$330, lasted 2 years
top half of the screen is normal, but the bottom half of the screen is filled with horizontal lines. not worth the price at all.

Bad dark areas and confusing settings but works
blocky and pixelated dark areas:
since i got the monitor it either keeps being very pixelated and blocky in dark scenes and transitions. i tried to reset it on both the monitors settings and my gpu-settings but i often ended up with the same dark color problems. it just not looking good when streaming movies.
settings:
some settings keeps changing and doesn't have a explanation on why, like in some situations it just won't let me change the black equalizer, even after resetting it. i know if it has to be like that, atleast it should come with an explanation.
conclusion:
dark areas are not good, for that price for 27" 144hz - 1440p gaming is ok i guess, if you don't care about the colors and lightning. it's not good for color work like graphic design or content production.

Nothing but problems
i've now owned a total of 3 of these monitors. the first one works great, but the second one's power button stopped clicking. i sent it back and the power button worked again. but now there are particles directly in the middle of the screen. i sent it back and they somehow don't even see the particles.i took reference pictures before i so i sent them to the refurb place and they move them from the middle to the side. i'm tired of dealing with sending my monitor back and forth so i deal with it until the power button stops clicking again. so i send it back to and they just offer to refurbish me so i buy a new one. my new one works great, just long enough for the warranty to run out then the power button starts acting up again. safe to say i will not be buying samsung monitors ever again.

Find another monitor.
15 days after the 1 year manufacturer warranty ended, my screen is now filled with yellow lines everywhere making the whole thing unusable until it's kept on for approx. 2 hours. this is an indication of a failing monitor, and i'm very upset about this. this has happened to others who have purchased samsung monitors with 2-3x the value. find another brand, i'm telling you now.

Owned for four years
i own both the jg56 and jg50 and i have some feedback after owning both for about four years.
jg50: it has been resilient over the years and continues to work to this day. i notice no diminishing quality of the display, other than a noticeable high pitched noise when the monitor is asleep and the blue light is flashing.
jg56: no issues whatsoever other than there being a small crack in the bottom frame, probably due to it being bumped into at one point. it is a high quality monitor and i could not have made a better purchase.

Way Too Much Trouble
the monitor randomly powers off for 4-10 seconds then comes back on. it does this 2-3 per minute. sometimes it powers off and won't come back on unless i unplug, and plug it back it. if i shut my pc off, the screen still stays lit in purple. i've sent it in 3 times to be fixed but nothing. 1st they said it was a defective part, but no change. i sent it in the second time, and they said there was no problem found. i called it in a 3rd time, they said they would replace the monitor, and gave me a qr code for ups. ups would scan it, package it, and ship it for me. i just got a call and they told me it was damaged in transit and wanted to quote a price to fix it. i explained the qr code/ups deal. now i have to wait 5-8 business days while they conduct an investigation. i?m out of characters

Good Monitor -- Used for Photos and design creation. No Gaming
I have enjoyed this monitor. I am amazed with crisp and high resolution. I enjoy the color for the photo editing with Lightroom. I engage in quilt and embroidery design, and needed area to increase the size of design for accurate points and lines. Very little to no reflection. 12 point text is very readable. I am pleased with my purchase. No ability to position the screen... you have what you have. Manual .. if that is what you want to call it... is something to be desired.
