This SSD is very fast and easy to connect. I actually have two of them and will get another! It's very sleek, non-bulky, and perfect for storing lots of media. I use them for my Steam games, and the capacity is very sufficient. No issues with durability after several years!

I picked up the Samsung T7 1TB in blue a little while ago and honestly, I'm blown away. First thing I noticed? How tiny it is - fits right in my pocket and barely weighs anything. Don't let the size fool you though, this thing is a beast. Transfer speeds are seriously fast. Moving large files, video projects, big folders - it all happens in a fraction of the time I was used to with my old portable drive. USB 3.2 Gen 1 really does make a difference in day-to-day use. The build quality feels premium too. It's got this solid, sleek metal casing that feels like it can take a bump or two without freaking out. And the blue colorway looks really sharp - way nicer than I expected from product photos. Setup was dead simple. Plugged it in, it was recognized instantly, no fuss. Works great across my laptop and desktop without any issues. If you're on the fence - just get it. Whether you're a content creator, a student, or just someone who needs reliable fast storage on the go, the T7 is absolutely worth every penny. Samsung knocked it out of the park with this one. ??

It's a great way to expand my laptop's limited internal storage. The T7 connects over fast USB 3.x, so file transfers feel almost as quick as working from built?in storage. It's compact and light, so it doesn't add any noticeable bulk in my bag, and I can safely toss it in and use it in different positions without worrying about minor bumps or light drops. My only regret is not buying the 2TB version.

Bought the Samsung T7 Portable SSD 1T approximately 1 year ago, and it is one of the BEST Samsung products I have ever purchased. Pros: It's extremely lightweight and small (especially for how much memory it holds), SUPER easy to connect to & disconnect from phones, tablets, and laptops. Cons: If it's your first time using an external drive, definitely recommend using it first on a laptop, so that you can make sure it's formatted correct. I tried using it with my Samsung S24 Ultra and struggled to tell if it was properly formatted or if I was messing things up. It would help if there was a legitimate Samsung certified How-To video regarding setting up, first time use on a laptop, a phone, and a tablet since each device has different ways your supposed to "disconnect" the SSD. Everything in-between: I know that the speed at which items are downloaded or uploaded has a lot to do with the devices as well as the cable that one is using to transfer the data. It took a LONG time to back up my pictures (I dont remember exactly how long) but I know I fell asleep while it was transferring just to wake up a few hours later with an "are you still there" type of message.... Not sure if this was from my phone or the SSD, but I was aggravated so I stopped backing stuff up for that day. I did use the cable that came in the package, but after researching it, apparently it's not the type of cable one needs to get the advertised data transfer speed. Lastly, I've definitely dropped mine at least 3 to 5 times, from various heights but no further that approximately 4 - 4.5 feet. There are some scratches from it moving around in my backpack (along with my pens and other like items) and Knicks from being dropped, however it still looks relatively new and still shiny!

The speed of this hard drive is super fast and with it being super easy to copy stuff from almost anything and back it up on my drive helps me save everything and not overload my phones storage. Samsung rules!

Amazing memory accessory. The generation 2 portable SST 4 TB USB Works amazing when it comes to transferring or Moving storage over from the device into the memory cartridge. After I was able to do the transfer my phone and device started working super fast I was able to be ejected safely while keeping all the data that was transferred on there safe and secured.

This drive is perfect. At first the price of the drive was reasonable so I picked one up. Wish I picked up to at that time if I had known the price would triple. The drive is perfect...perfect size, perfect speed and just enough capacity to backup my entire TB1 Samsung phone. Its very portable and can easily connect directly to my phone. If prices drop, will definitely pickup another.

I've been using the Samsung Portable SSD for a while now, and overall, I'm really impressed with its performance and reliability. The biggest advantage is the speed-file transfers are incredibly fast compared to traditional external hard drives. I regularly move large datasets and project files, and it handles everything smoothly without lag.

I love this T 7 Shield 1 GB because it is so easy to connect to my Android S 24 and easily holds all of my photos videos that take so much storage and memory of my laptop and cell phone. I have purchased many Samsung portable SSDs, as well as some from other marquee manufacturers. But while I've had some form of trouble with all the other brands, not a single one of my Samsung's devices has failed me (knock on wood)! They're fast, compatible with every system I've tried, and have great capacity in a wide range of storage levels. Most importantly, though, they are DURABLE and RELIABLE! Doubt I'll ever purchase another brand going forward.

I am using this 1TB T7 drive to run Linux Fedora. I boot my laptop with the driver plugged into the USB port and am presented with a menu from which I can either boot Linux from the T7 or Windows from the internal SSD. The responsiveness of the drive is such that I feel as though I'm running Linux from an internal SSD. I love the drive. I've also got a 2TB drive about which I've not yet decided how I will put it to use. The drive is physically very small and very durable. I purchased a case that holds both drives securely.

This portable SSD is great. I've been using it for a while to store images from my phone, and the transfer is pretty quick. It doesn't disconnect randomly either, which is an issue I had with some of my thumb drives. Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone who takes lots of photos and want's some storage space. However, the reason why it's four stars for me is that transferring larger files or saving updated files does take a bit (as in hefty programs like clip studio pro and adobe after effects, etc.)
