Case design problems
The rubber like cover does not allow labeling and I ? stick on's. Because of the cover it required an extra long plug. The wire looks like all the other t5, t7's and has merged with them never to be found again. The is no dust/water cap to cover the socket. So why pay more for field work If got to put it in one of those snap cover holders.

Fast and reliable
Incredibly fast and always reliable. I've never had a problem with any of the SSDs that I've purchased from Samsung. I switched to Samsung after one of my Toshiba external hard drives failed.

Blazing fast backup of photos on phone.
I bought this to use with my Galaxy phone. I take a lot of photos and wanted a local device to back them up in case of phone failure or loss. My first backup was of about 3800 photos and I was impressed with the blazing speed and minimal effect on my phone battery charge state.

Great Drive
Fantastic, fast, compact little drive that always works never an issue. Even when transferring very large 5gb files it is fast and doesnt choke up. I use it for all my backups and for music and movie storage.

Samsung T7 1TB SSD: My Go-To for the Blackmagic 6K
For anyone shooting with a Blackmagic 6K Pro, finding a reliable external drive is essential. The Samsung T7 1TB portable SSD has become an absolutely critical part of my setup.
I constantly use this drive as my external record drive, pushing it hard with 6K RAW video at 50 frames per second. The result? Zero dropped frames, zero errors. Every single time. That kind of consistent performance is crucial when you're on a shoot and can't afford any hiccups. It simply works, giving me total peace of mind.
Forget dealing with CFast 2.0 cards and their high costs, or struggling with SD cards. While some high-end SDs can technically handle the data rates, the real hassle often comes with the workflow - you usually need an extra card reader just to offload files. Not with the T7. It connects directly like any other hard drive, making transfers seamless. It's faster, more convenient, and honestly, a much smarter investment than constantly buying expensive cards.
It's also super compact and tough. I can easily rig it up, and because it's an SSD, there are no moving parts to worry about. Bumps and shakes on set? No problem at all.
Despite some discussions about the "plain" T7 versus the Shield or T5, my personal experience with the 1TB version for 6K 50fps RAW has been flawless. It holds up, every single time.

Great Portable SSD !
This is a great storage device. It transfers data very fast. My only problem is have had with this is when I have it plugged into phone or pc it will disconnect for no reason even though I haven't moved the device or data cable.

Great for on the go data back up
Perfect for on the go usage. I do a lot of airial video and photography. This was is small, slim, and transfers data super fast from myavix drone. Do rom it's USB on the drone or off the controller itself. Def recommend getting a couple of these. You won't be disappointed,

Solid Design! Unbreakable?!
My portable SSD(blue) fell out of my pocket because I put it in the same pocket where I kept my small-change(bus-fare)...Anyways, I started to jog across the cross-walk, and as I removed my hand with a small fist-full of coins; here also my Brand-New Samsung SSD comes flying out of my pocket..! As I watch helplessly, it seems like everything is happening in slow-motion. When my SSD hit the pavement, it hit the very corner and edge of the device and continued spinning and I was sure it was now broken and useless...But do you know, what? when I picked it up finally, there wasn't even a scratch AND it worked perfectly! TY for such a durable device.
