Long life and great speed

Great drive with decent capacity. The interface being sata made it compatible with every computer it's been moved through, 2 laptops and a desktop. Speed has been great for being a sata drive and has been reliable enough to survive several years of gaming.

Fast, reliable 2TB upgrade

I upgraded my old hard drive with the 870 EVO 2TB and the difference is huge. Windows boots in seconds, apps open instantly, and it's completely silent. Installation was simple and it worked perfectly with my PC. Great performance and capacity for the price.

~Much Faster Boot Time~

I recently purchased the Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SSD to upgrade my very old PC with the hope of improving startup time. After setting up the new SSD I am happy to report start up time has been reduced by over a minute to just 20 seconds on average. Other activities such as file & application access time is improved. I purchased this SSD because of its reputation for being reliable, quick Read/Write, small form factor, & compatibility with my old system.

Reliable Storage

I have used the Samsung storage device for 5 years now and it still works just as great as the day I bought it. There have been no issues that I've encountered throughout all this time and it is very fast. The capacity is as described and is great.

Worth it

The capacity is accurate, and the installation was incredibly easy. It worked upon formatting, and it hasn't failed me in the months I've used it. I use a mini PC, and it was hard to find any other SSD that would fit. The speed is worth it. I managed to do 500gb transfers in under an hour (mainly hours long videos from a PS5)

Capacity for days: 4 TB of solid-state storage in the 2.5" SATA form means you've got ample space for games, media projects, large datasets, backups. Top-tier SATA speeds: Samsung quotes up to ~560 MB/s read and ~530 MB/s write for this model. That means for SATA-based systems, you're basically saturating the interface - all the "SATA?capable" speed you can get. Strong endurance: The specification for the 4 TB model is rated at 2,400 TBW (terabytes written) over its warranty period. That's reassuring for heavy usage such as using for your primary OS drive like I do. I love the solid guarantee i get wirh the 5 year warranty from Samsung. It certainly gives me peace of mind for my long-term investments in their top notch storage offerings. Samsung is a mature, trusted brand & ecosystem. The "EVO" line has built a strong reputation in the space and is clearly a leader, as Samsung is in most of the spaces it competes in . This means good firmware support, reliable behavior, and strong compatibility between devices and because it's SATA 6 Gb/s and the common 2.5" 7m7m form-factor, it works in lots of desktops and many laptops. The drive is supported by Samsung's "Magician" software (for health monitoring, firmware updates, drive maintenance). That's a nice bonus for users who like to keep tabs, but i personally use it only for the firmware updates (which is highly recommend you stay recent on for any fixes and patches needed). In sum, its a good all-round performer with very solid performance and improvements (especially in random-read/write) over earlier generations.

Great performance, very fast, easy to install

The 500 GB SSD Sata 2.5 inch drive is a really powerful product. My laptop was really slow really slow because it had a SSD card with minimal capacity. Once I switched to the 870 Evo, my laptop was much faster and I got things done in half the time

installed the 870 evo to replace a hdd. has been installed for some months and i feel comfortable in writing a review now. the speed is incredible, both read and write speeds . used macrium reflect to clone the drive with no problems at all. i would recommend this drive and all samsung drives to anyone looking to increase performance and reliability.

ssd is great and fast. however, installation with samsung data migration wasn't great. it would only get up to 99 percent and shut down. i ended up spending $49.00 to install aomei to clone the disk.
