Perfect laptop
I purchased my laptop to go back to school as an adult. It has proven itself to be extrememly capable, especially when conducting a remote class utilizing multiple windows. I have been able to be on a video conference, taking notes in MS word, watching a video from the presenter and conducting multiple web searches on the key topics of the presentation. The physical size provides enough screen space for use of four windows simultainiously; matching to a very well built, full size keyboard with number pad. It still fits in my medium size laptop bag. Battery still suprises me after over a year of use. I keep it on battery saver mode (charging stops at 80%) and it still lasts through my day of classes. I am very happy that it is NOT touch screen, not sure how that affects resolution, but I really like the clarity of the picture without finger smudges everywhere. The glare reduction coating should be on every Samsung device!

Only had for 3 months
Honestly, I am really disappointed. I had an old Samsung that has been great for 4 years and is still good. I bought this computer 3 months ago. The charger is really poorly designed. My computer went kind of sideways, it broke the charger and the port. To fix it they were going charge a minimum of $1800.00 to replace the whole motherboard to fix the charging port. This cost more than the computer itself. Just ridiculous. On top of that (these are things I was willing to overlook until now) - the computer is super loud and does not have a long battery life like it proclaims - hence issues with the charging.

GREAT Laptop
I bought this for my mother-in-law. It's a fast reliable machine with a very bright screen which she needs because if her eyesight. I used it and was impressed how well it worked for a windows computer. Thinking of buying a second one for me and getting away from my MacBook.

DEFECTIVE! BAD BATTERY
DEFECTIVE!
It worked fine for about 5-6 days and then the battery went bad, the charger also seemed to stop working afterwards.
I tried several chargers and couple different things to try to make it work, the laptop has a great design but it just shut off out of nowhere, with full battery.
I have seen more reviews with the same problem online.

Best Laptop coming from a MacBook Pro 2012
my macbook pro finally died after years of use. i wanted to try something different with. something i could work and play games with occasciolly without being flashy with all the rgb lights as didn't want to look unprofessional. the performance is beond my expectations i can play forza 5 in high setting with no problems have a refresh rate around 100-80 as i connect my laptop to a monitor it works great. day to day task youtube work there's little to no wait time the computer always boots up quick my favorite feature is when i open the laptop lid it starts up automatically. the finger printer reader works amazing with no issues. over all recommend this laptop. love the all aluminum frame not cheap plastic as many windows' computer come in. just wish the screen had a higher fresh rate.

It's the little things
i'm delighted with the specs, but there are so many little things that really reduce the value.
- poor support and documentation.
- usb-c ports are not standard, so docking stations don?t work.
- giant charging cable.
- bios is very limited, undocumented, confusing, and basic features don?t work (unable to boot to usb)
- the hd is pcie not stata, and the case is sealed, so no changing hard drives
- insecure privacy agreements. native applications collect personal data, and every samsung interaction requires full authorization to all private data for samsung and affiliates.
- the numpad / keyboard layout is nonstandard and very annoying / error inducing.
- hard to manage performance; most memory is immediately used (~24gb!) on boot

Fautly Camera and Internet Issues
the camera goes out period of time and a restart is needed to make it work again.
the computer will also randomly disconnect from the internet and take ages to reconnect. i thought it may be my internet connection but this only happens on this laptop. my other devices are not affected by the internet at all and stay connected.
this is really inconvenient for someone who is in school or has business meetings that require a camera and an internet connection.

i have had mine since black friday 2021 and think it is a great work laptop for basic things. my issues with it include the low refresh rate screen that means 60fps max for gaming and video. the lack of thunderbolt ports really bother me, it has 2 ubc cs, 2 ubc 2.1s, ethernet port, hdmi and an aux port. the issue doesn't really bother me but some might not like. the 8gb model's fans are very loud and kick in quite often. i have since upgraded the ram to 16gb and it helps(you can also tweak the fan settings to run on quiet mode but increased temp). i would not recommend this laptop for someone who wants to game on aaa titles but this laptop does as advertised.

Nice laptop, heavy
this laptop is very nice but came with a brick sized charger. unfortunately other chargers i have tried don't work. stuck w a hige heavy charger. this laptop is a bit heavy too. but combine the two and is more like a desktop because you dont want to lug this thing around

Premium Laptop at a Premium Price
i'm upgrading from a ultrabook i bought around 2014 from samsung. this time i needed the ability to also do creative work on the go - so having the extra graphic ability, and max ram on this model helps. early reviews of the base model seemed to indicate the fan would kick in quickly and often - not so much on my build.
i managed to get mine with a holiday discount, there were others that came in slightly cheaper from other manufacturers, for the price it may be worth considering.
note: this laptop does not have thunderport capabilities. there are 2 usb cs but i haven't been able to confirm if they support displayport or power delivery if you plan on using the laptop with a dock. confirm before you buy!

Good design, defective battery, very noisy
When I've got it first time I liked it's design. But after first use I realized that battery was defective: at first laptop stopped to charge, then it showed status as if it was plugged in and charging but actually the cable was not connected. When I tried to connect ac cable it showed that computer is not plugged in.
I removed battery and now it works ok without it. Unfortunately I moved to another country and can't return this item. Very sad to get such defective product. Will try to replace battery.
