this laptop is is fast, reliable and multifunctional. i regularly play games such as fallout 4 and skyrim without any graphics, hardware or software upgrades, and this system handles them fine. the cooling fans can be loud when performing demanding tasks like high graphics games, but if this bothers you, you can get a fan or other cooling system to place underneath - just don't choke the fan intake, which is on the bottom.

I've had several laptops and my model NP800G5M is everything a good computer should be. The video is clear and smooth, even in HD, I can watch any DVD I want and it's not to much for the 16 Gigs of RAM. Web browsing is awesome as well, I have 45 Mbps and pages load plenty fast. Used windows update first and then used Samsung update and it is humming right along. I have several Samsung products and all of the preform well and my laptop is no exception, the touchpad is the best I've ever used, doesn't hang up or freeze like some I've used. Thank you Samsung for building great products!

first of all. I'm a Samsung hard fan customer. but that might change now. well its happening now. I purchased this laptop brand new today and I played with it for a little bit. everything seemed to be fine. but what I just did messed up my laptop. could you guess what? I went ahead and tried to update the laptop through Samsung update app. which broke my laptop. I got a weird error while updating it. and the screen when black and I can't do anything with it now. not even turn it off. and there's seems to be another guy on Amazon who had the same issue. so I'm not making this up. this is embarrassing. I contacted Samsung support. and They were no help. they want me to contact a team of Samsung to send the laptop to them to check the laptop which I got no time for. this is embarrassing. my laptop died on its day one of usage. first it was my note 7. we all know what happened to it. now this. I'm done with Samsung I never thought I was gonna say this. time to find another trustful Brand.

requested it Sunday, arrived today (Tuesday. took two hours to update but after that, all speed and power. I can only say WOW because my limited vocabulary cannot do this laptop justice. all my electronics are Samsung, including washer/dryer and this laptop DID NOT disappoint straight out of the box. it even has HDR and I didn't see it listed. must be my old eyes. so far, one day in, great quality for the money. tomorrow I'll test its video / photo editing capabilities, see if the quad core and 16 gigs memory will be enough.
