delivers. With USB 3.2 Gen 2 support, I consistently see read and
write speeds in the 900+ MB/s range when connected to

to take minutes on a traditional external hard drive now takes

Absolutely worse drive ever - bought two t7 drives in 4 tb configuration - both drives required 19 days to copy files from imac using usbc or tunderbolt -  sundisk did the same data on the same imac in less than hr - i just trshed  them and wasted 600 dollars - will never purchase another samsung product - and yes i called samsung - their sollution was to hung up on me

I purchased this 1Tb SSD to replace an old and failing portable hard drive.  I searched for a drive that was first off affordable, with enough memory to allow for future needs.  I use this SSD for keeping my important information portable.  I love the plug and play part because that makes it easy to move between my work Laptop and my home PC.  It is USB C which makes it compatible with all my new devices.
