It’s s great device especially with the combination of camera 360. It’s a new experience in looking at things and I could say it is a welcome addition for anyone. pro- a camera which can take 360 degree views con-an accessory that you need to bring along with you in order to use the camera. did not end up using often the accessories that come along with the phone as i had problems with the phone and stop using way before mid campaign. now i am waiting days in order for those items to return and get my money back.

The Samsung Gear VR is a great way to view your gear360 photos and videos and share your experiences with your friends! It also offers a fun gaming experience for those who are new to VR. I like the fact that you can quickly take photos and then view them with this device. I will say that the headband can become a bit uncomfortable if you are wearing the VR headset for a prolonged period of time. All in all this was a very fun product to test out and I am happy to own it and share it with my friends!

When I first got my Samsung gear VRheadset I didn’t know what to expect. But after I tried it on and tried to view the apps I was blown away by what it could do and how real it was. I felt like I was being transported into the world that they had created for me. I wanted to figure out how I could create those same videos. Although what I did find out was that it takes a lot of computing knowledge and equipment to make, it certainly didn’t stop me from utilizing this headset. Pros Easy to use and stay intuitive once you’re inside the headset it is also very comfortable and even your having it on for about half an hour still didn’t feel heavy at all. Looking at pictures and Video is great fun. Cons You have to set up the app(oculus and Samsung) most of the way before you plug it in to your headset. I love that it’s pretty plug-and-play but you do have some work to do before you get going. I do wish some software were a little bit more advanced, but it looks like they’re adding things more and more every time. Some of the experiences are really very immersive.

I must accept I am not a gaming kind of girl. So, I wasn’t expecting much about the GEAR. I thought it was cool to have it, but didn’t really see where I could fit this gadget in my life. I got my GEAR on my NYC trip and used it as an entertainment tool, learned about games and how to play it. It was actually fun and I ended up with something fun and different to do while waiting around in the airports. Then, I got back to Colombia and found out I could actually show my parents all the amazing pictures and videos I had taken with my GEAR. I was amazed to be able to take them throughout my whole NYC experience from the comnfort of our house in Colombia. They were shocked to feel like they were there, in that video, with me. It was after this happened that I actually realized the GEAR is not just made for gamers. It is a versatile tool capable of adapting to whichever entertaining tastes you might have. Thus, the GEAR is just an amazing bridge of technological reality, what you do with it, mostly depends on your imagination. To me, the gear enables me to share my experiences and memories with the ones I love… As I said before, I am not a gamer, I am more of an open space- sharing experiences kind of person. So, I found a use for my GEAR that could connect me to people. I have been taking my GEAR to friend and family parties. I have been making out of the GEAR a “group experience”, it has been amazing to share this technology with friends, family and the ones I love, and I must say, it has been the main attraction of the parties I go to. I have loved my GEAR and I loved that it fits my lifestyle, you don’t have to be a gamer to enjoy these gadgets. GEAR technology has enabled me to connect and share my experiences and moments with family and friends.

Overall rating: 5 stars, very great product Features: 4 stars, would give 5 stars, but doesn't have as many games compared to videos. Performance: Games are given a comfort level and are very accurate. Design: would give a 5 star, but theres no back plate to cover the phone when docked. Looks all clunky without one. Value: 5 star as it fits within price range.

I tried the Virtual Reality headgear, it was awesome. You feel like you are in another world. It is a strange feeling to be sitting in the middle of a bunch of people and yet you are in another world all together. It is like you are really there in this alternate world on your eyes. The strangest thing is that you can turn around and see behind you, above you and to each side, just like if you were really there. Things come at you and you will duck as if they are really there in the room with you. A great experience.

It’s a sleek, completely black headset with lots of padding inside to keep you comfortable. Both the straps definitely keeps the gear vr in place without putting too much pressure on your head. Samsung has added a headphone jack so you can plug headphones into your phone while it’s docked. Overall it’s very well designed, user friendly and comfortable. Overall a great experience when you combine 360 camera, galaxy s8+ and Gear VR and i would definitely recommend it!

Loved it As a caveat, I'm sensitive to motion sickness so there definitely was a little of this to hurdle through. However, once that got settled, I really started to enjoy the device. I enjoyed the novelty of trying out different apps and games. In particular, it was awesome to try out the 360-degree cameras to be inside the Egyptian tombs, or other travel destinations. I was in control of what to look at and it felt like you were right there which was absolutely amazing. As a sports fan, I tried out the VR experience to watch an NBA game which was a cool experience. It feels as though you're sitting right at courtside, and the ability to look left and right to focus on different things really adds to the virtual experience. The views switch seamlessly from courtside to the camera mounted behind the backboard which gives you a view better than any seat you would pay for in real life! The hardware itself is comfortable. It fits well on my head, doesn't feel front-heavy, and I didn't have any trouble with sweating that I noticed from other comments. Set-up was easy and the software easy to navigate. As it's powered by Oculus, you do have to download the oculus app and every additional feature you want to explore does require separate downloads, but these were snappy and glitch-free. I had a lot of fun with the device, and I was able to share this with my friends and spouse who all loved it as well. For the price, can't beat this VR experience. As VR support and apps expand it's only going to continue to get better!

The Gear VR is awesome. It's great for games (shooters are best, I have also watched some trailers from youtube and it feels like i'm at the cinema. I have also watched some of the videos I captured with the Gear 360 and it looks and feels like I am at the place I filmed. I can't wait for more content.

What sold me about this is that I can make full use of the Oculus store, and it works really well with my Samsung Galaxy S7. I only played around with free apps so far, and so far has been fairly enjoyable. It's also much more affordable than getting the Rift, and I can make use of my already capable phone. One thing I'd like to see (although not quite about the goggles themselves is a tie in with the Oculus store and the Google Play store, so I can use credit on there to buy Oculus apps.

When I first received the Gear VR, I wasn't as enthusiastic as I am now. This quickly changed. After I figured out how to use it, I watched videos that I recorded and it is definitely an immersing experience. An example is a concert that I went to - when I watched it from the Gear VR, it looked like I am the only person at the concert ! So much fun re-experiencing the event. The clarity is terrific and it feels so alive! I also tried watching some of the videos available at the store and they were great too. The only reason I am giving it a 4-star is because from time to time, I had to make adjustment on how I hold the remote control, but otherwise, I am really enjoying this product.

I have had my Samsung gear2 for over 6 months and have given it the benefit of the doubt. Not happy in any way. Steps are never right, my mile changes daily by hundreds of yards. Charger is does not work. I have had many heart rate monitors and step counters and by far this one is the worst one I have had in the last 20 years. I would put this on my do not buy list.

This whole thing only works if you have a Facebook account. And if you've spent any money buying apps and such. And Facebook bans or kicks you off your account. That money has now been wasted. No other way to use than through a Facebook account.

Love this headset. Could use some improvements but overall is amazing. Watching movies, playing games it can't be beat. The technology and apps will only continue to improve. Only reason not giving 5 stars is that I know that this is still something fairly new and will only continue to improve. Lighter/smaller headsets, built in screens (no cellphones needed), clarity and content.

I received my Gear VR at the same time as my new S8+ phone and I am just blown away by the combination. It's easy to use, very intuitive and I've had fun not only playing games, but watching concerts and visiting places around the world in stunning 360 degree views. Never having been one for gaming in the past, this has opened up a whole new world to me. Some of the most fun are the storytime games where you basically get to do a "choose your own adventure" game/storyline. They are so much fun!!! It seems pretty durable and with the straps installed both around the head and over the top, the thing doesn't move at all while you are wearing it. The only thing I do recommend is that you make sure that you clean all the dust off of the inner and outer lenses, as well as your phone screen, before hooking it up. Small specs tend to look HUGE and are very distracting.

I really do like the idea behind it. Somethings are crystal clear, as I would expect them to be. Some are out of focus or at least fuzzy. I am not a gamer. I want entertainment, longer videos, in focus. I kind of think that since this is a fairly new idea, better things will be coming in the future. Since some are from Samsung and some from other sources, the problem may be with other sources. I am not giving up yet, I just hope that more and better content (in focus) will be coming down the road. I thank Samsung for having this as part of the promotion (pre-sale) as I had been wanting to try it for a long time. We have 2 phones, sort of wish I had gotten 1 of the 360 2017 cameras and 1 VR. We got 2 VR's. That was my decision. My husband hasn't tried them yet, so maybe the 2nd one won't be wasted. Really looking forward to more content.
