It's a very annoying experience to buy a watch only to find out that the features you paid for won't work because you don't have a Samsung phone. I have had two heart surgeries to put stents put in my arteries. I bought the watch for ECG feature and the blood pressure. I understand that this is not as accurate as the devices used in medical offices but something is better than nothing.

Overheating A LOT. Even overheats when I'm not wearing it.

Cons - The battery life. It has 3 battery settings. Watch only, Power Saving, and Normal. Watch only can last 2-4 weeks. It is just a black screen with the time. Power saving in my experience can last up to 24 hours, most of that time being idle. The limitations of this compared to the Normal(Non-Battery Saving) Disable Wake-up Gesture, Always on display and Wi-Fi. Limits CPU Speed (Watch becomes "Clunky" and less smooth/slow). 10% Decrease to brightness. Several Background features, Network usage, Location, and Syncing are limited. Finaly a 10 Second screen time out. THESE ARE NOT CUSTOMIZABLE. If Power saving mode is on, these apply. With out Power saving you get all the features, In my experience the Watch can idle for MAYBE 24 hours. I often found myself on <10% by end of day ( I used Power saving) I would have to change overnight, so i could use the watch the next day. So i missed out on a lot of features related to sleep.

Pros - It Does have really nice features. Tracking seems to be mostly accurate (My Wife and I have the same watch) We would go on walks together and compare start and stop steps. I always seemed to track more steps 100-300 more than her. Despite my longer stride(taking less steps) Easy to use screen. Very customizable. All the typical stuff you see in smart watches these days.

The big take away is the battery is Trash. It limits some of the fancy features because you are having to charge it Daily. I will not be repurchasing this brand because of this in the future, unless they make improvments to the batteries. i do enjoy/use other Galaxy products, so it's unfortunate i can't umbrella under one.

Pros and Cons

Upgraded from the first gen to this and was disappointed by the battery life. The other features make up for it because theyre more accurate and detailed (physical measurements like the sleep tracker, body mass tracker, and workout tracker). I kind of miss using a rotating bezel and the buttons being inverted I'm still getting used to but it's a sleeker design

Upgraded from first gen

After owning the watch for about a year, paired so my s23+ ... this watch no longer connects to my phone, judging by the 1 million 1 star reviews on Google play for the Samsung wearable app, it is clearly a software issue. This is due to an update that happened January 2nd I believe. This issue has still not been address or resolved AFTER A MONTH. Unacceptable for a company this large to screw over their customers. Never buying a Samsung anything ever again. Trash.

Watch doesn't work when disconnected from phone and connected to LTE , OVERHEATS AND IS USELESS!! Seriously is ZERO point in the watch having LTE if it cripples the watch.. SMH at SAMSUNG!

Absolutely GARBAGE ?????

Every morning before I leave my house I always put my galaxy watch 4 on. I'm greeted with a good morning and a weather update. I've had this watch for almost 2 years now and there hasn't been one single hiccup, in charging, in using the rotating bezel, in calling, etc. But what I would like, is for samsung to focus a little bit on the scratch resistant properties. Although I do take care of my watch, there are one or two noticeable scratches along the bezel. Other than that, this product is amazing

I use my watch for sleeping and tracking my health. Also use it for phone calls and texting.

It is a great watch to have for the price

I love the sleep functions although they miss some sleep episodes, usually just naps. Watch is big and display is awesome. Wish Samsung would come up with a blood glucose sensor and then it would be perfect.

Love my watch 4 classic

I love how many features are included with the watch. It has a full suite of exercises it can track, as well as many health monitoring stats (heart rate, SpO2, stress, sleep tracking, etc.). Compatible with an impressive number of watch apps in the Google Play store. My favorite feature is the syncing of phone calls and messages with my phone, and being able to reply to messages with voice-to-text.

Feature packed

This watch is just a beautiful watch all around. It's big but not too big. For me it's the exact fit I want. The interface is easy to use. Customization feels unlimited. 

My favorite part of this watch hands down is the battery life. I've kept this watch on my wrist for over a month on the watch only setting without charging. Last every bit of a week for me with light use.

Ease of use

I have a Samsung phone right now it's a s21 5G and it's going great! 
Before it I had a S9 plus and it was great phone even though it's a old phone it's still a good phone was running very good and I also have a Samsung watch which is galaxy watch 4 classic and it's smooth and good and it's great and the sensors are great for working out and swimming and other stuff most importantly it's a great watch overall

A solid all-round smart watch, with a rotating bezel for easier scrolling. With features that are found on the series 5 and 6, I'm not enticed to upgrade just yet. My only wish is for better battery technology to push usage to about 2 days before needing a recharge.

Solid as can be

This is a watch that keeps up with an active life style. I use it to track my steps, workouts, and almost everything else in life. And I don't even have to pull my phone out of my pocket.

I use it almost everyday to track my steps and running habits  amazing how accurate it is for my steps and the running feature that activates on its own after 10 mins of running is such a life saver when I forget to activate it

Galaxy watch 4 classic a MUST HAVE

If you've got a Samsung phone, a Galaxy Watch is hands down the way to go. Samsung makes sure its products work together seamlessly, and it's been a dream to use together with my Galaxy Z Flip. The physical click wheel bezel on the classic is a real lifesaver.

The only real negative here is the battery life; especially if I use the sleep tracking features, sometimes it just doesn't have enough juice to make it through a busy day.

A great watch

I bought this watch a year or two ago and it's still going strong. Survived me using it in the pool (even survived and accidental washer cycle) and is just great overall.

I've always wanted a smart watch and was very torn between which one to get. I'm beyond thankful that the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is the option I picked. 

It responds extremely fast, accurately tracks my steps throughout the day and is totally stylish. 

Couldn't have asked for a better watch. 100% recommend.

A fantastic accessory.

The rotating bezel is my favorite part even though I don't use it for the functionality, it just feels nice to rotate it. The charge usually lasts me a full day which is good. I can make phone calls, answer text messages and even go to YouTube on it using the web. It'll even play a whole music video! For a watch it does a lot to me!

Great product lots of features

I've enjoyed having my watch which I mainly use for messages and health tracking. Unfortunately it has a terrible battery life, resulting in charging every evening. Which means I forget it at home, not able to get the full use of my device.

Great features, bad battery

Been a Galaxy owner since the Galaxy S3 and the Samsung line of smart phones before that. I own a couple tvs, the Gear Icon X, the S6, S9, and currently the S21u with plans to go the the S24U next year. I had a Gear S3 Frontier before upgrading to the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. While some want a smartwatch that looks like a piece of electronics I still appreciate a watch that looks like a watch and more like a time piece. I went with the classic to get that look, specifically the silver color. I purchased a black and grey nato strap and a silver metal band for it and have received many compliments about it. The 44 is the perfect size for being able to use the functionality of the watch screen, the bezel has a nice satisfying click as you rotate it as well as the buttons. I can easily make a call with it if my phone is in another room and I need my hands free, I can control music on BT speakers with it, trigger the camera for hands free photos and selfies and there are even apps for its use in the film industry, of which I am a small part of. My only suggestions for the 5 and future models are: 1) Dramatically increase the IP value of the watch as part of my regiment of keeping it clean is to wash it when it gets dirty under the sink. My Gear S3 died because sweat got into it, despite my care. 2) I think the gyro needs more sensitivity and would be nice if simply turning the wrist at some speed activated the screen versus having to bring the whole arm down and then back up.

Classy and Capable Smartwatch

My Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is superb in performance! It does everything I'd wanted in my first smart watch! The breathing exercises offered directly from the watch when I'm stressed out have saved so many situations from devolving to worse states! Additionally, being able to take calls, manage music from other outputs, and quickly respond to texts without having to have my phone on me is something I, now, can't live without!
I did spend some time at the beach with my watch on but the water lock feature and the quick beeps to expel water from the device kept it working in perfect condition! After that day, though, I was forced to take the bezel off and clean it out, but even that was a very quick, easy, and effective solution that Samsung graciously gave us the opportunity to perform ourselves instead of having to take it in to a branded repair shop, which I value above all else!

This product is phenomenal!

I love my Samsung galaxy watch classic, the design is perfect. I also live some of the faces that it brings.  I would like and improvement on the battery so i can have it more time on always on display and also more variety of faces.
