i am so happy with this tablet. it's fast, nice clear screen, good sound, it was pretty easy for me to set up. i'm 67 and not very tech savy but i managed. there may be a few things i missed, didn't understand or did wrong. idk i mainly use it for games and my craft video tutorials for now. i took one pic with the camera just to check it out. it was great. i think my next phone will also be a samsung galaxy.

i was not in the market for a tablet. i was looking for s pens for my s21 ultra and for some reason an add from walmart popped up offering this for $30 in store only. needless to say, i bought 3 when they opened! this tablet doesn't have many bells or whistles, but it is the perfect complement to our samsung phones. it is a little heavy, but not it a bad way. more in that it feels very substantial and well built, which has been an issue with some tablets i've bought. the display isn't a qled with 144hz refresh, but it looks fantastic. battery is great. speed is great. overall, as long as you aren't looking for the bells and whistles on the galaxy tab 7, it's a great device for the money (even the msrp).

i bought this tablet a for light gaming, internet and streaming of netflix and hulu. this will be the 3rd time to write my review as my tablet keeps closing down. this is happening even though ive already sent it back once for repair the same problem and it took 10 days. i wish i'd never bought it. be smart and keep shopping. for a different brand. when i finish this review i guess i'll contact them once again about this piece of trash that they didn't fix.

well-built, sturdy and heavy, you can tell there's good stuff inside, no flim-flam filler! quick response, plenty of onboard memory + the microsd card. tablet updates easily during setup and apps install nicely, up and running in no time. make sure to buy the bluetooth keyboard case and screen protector.

i've always preferred samsung products over apple. my only issue is how long it takes to charge. they samsung phones are capable of fast charging, why not the tablets?

having used only apple products forr more that 20 years, it was an easy learning curve. im 80 and so far no speed bumps! my daughter gave it as a gift with a tutor included, no need!

i purchased this tablet last year (2020) and am so happy with it. it works great for video chats and runs most games smooth thanks to the 3gb of memory (ram). like the dual dobly atmos speakers, headphone jack, and usb-c. the camera isn't the best, but is pretty good for a tablet in this price range. for improved features, i would recommend checking out the tab a7 or s6 lite. overall, a great budget tablet, especially for students!

boasts a large screen and it's one of it's great features for streaming videos. it's also easy on the eyes when reading online with the blue screen filter option. it's pretty reliable when it comes to running apps and videos, i've had only a little trouble when it came to streaming higher resolution videos where it would lag or become slightly choppy. when that happens you just need to press pause and let it sit for a minute for it to run smoothly. it's not suited for gaming. i like playing mobile games in my free time but i can't play any of the larger games on this tablet because of the low ram. i cam play casual games just fine but it's a little upsetting to not be able play games like fortnite or genshin on it.

battery life lasts a good long time, boots up much more quickly, expanded memory is the way to go versus external storage on an sd card. i was able to easily transfer my info over to the new tablet.

I intended to buy the 64-GB version of this tablet when it went on sale during Amazon Prime Day, yet I'm glad I checked out Best Buy first because it sold the 128-GB version for the same price -- where I immediately bought it. I mainly use this tablet to listen to audiobooks, which I first started listening to on my Kindle Fire 8 until its app went haywire! (A software upgrade finally fixed that.) I also appreciate the fact that I can listen to Chirp audiobooks on this tablet, which are far less expensive, but Chirp doesn't let you save your audiobooks to your Micro SD card like Audible does. Although the movies on this tablet are gorgeous, this isn't a multimedia device like Samsung's more expensive tablets, so I'm perfectly happy listening to my books and podcasts on it instead. On rare occasions when I first boot up this tablet, it won't connect to my WiFi until I take the trouble to reboot it, and then it loads just fine. Yet let me emphasize that this rarely happens.

I've had several generations of Samsung tablets and I've liked all of them. I keep all of my games/social media stuff on the tablet so they're not on my phone. I miss having the home buttons because my fat fingers can't pull down that window and having the power cord connect at the bottom is a little inconvenient at times when charging it while trying to use it. Other than that, it's fast and effective!

to be honest, i am very disappointed at the sluggish performance of the 128g tablet. i have lesser specs that are a pleasure to use. i bought this because of it's memory, not thinking that sluggishness would ever be an issue . sorry, i can't recommend this to a friend.

i love my new tablet. i've been using it for a month or so and have no complaints. it's fast, sound is great and loud enough to hear over my grandson's toys. the picture is clear and the touchscreen is very responsive. the only thing i wish is that i could rotate it in all directions so i could use it easily while charging as some apps only work in one direction and the charging port ends up on the bottom on those apps. no big deal, though. it holds a charge for longer than other tablets i've owned, and it charges fast. i really love this tablet.

i purchased this in/or about nov 2019 for my mother-in-law. she's getting up there in age and needed a new tablet, so i went with the 10.1. the screen size worked well for her and a year later, it's still going strong. she's had a few user issues, but that's mainly her lack in knowledge of todays technology. it serves her well with email, facebook and youtube, but not much more. we did what we could by making it as user friendly as possible. overall, i'd say this was a good buy...

bought it as a replacement for my aging tab a 8. my only complaint is that they eliminated the magnetic cover switch. my tablet is my "band" for sunday mornings. i like to get it set up and close the cover then i only need to open the cover to go. with this one i'll have to wake it up again

i recently upgraded from a tab s3 to tab a7. my use of a tablet is mostly for quick research, email, messaging, & home automation. i have a win laptop for other things. my issue and i debate giving 3stars is that the ram should have been a minimum of 4gb. samsung has a app i use smartthings to control several devices in my home. i cannot install smartthings app because it requires a min of 2gb and with 3 gb and 1.5gb used already it will not install. my new tablet will not access part of my home. memory is cheap... all of these tablets should have a minimum off 4 gb ram. note: i upgraded from a tab3 to taba7 because i needed more internal memory 32gb to 64gb.

the samsung galaxy a is heavy; it is a little over 1 lb. with a cover, its a bit heavier. the weight along with the longer narrower screen makes the tablet difficult to hold with just one hand. it is more like a little tv than a tablet. if you are looking for a tiny tv this would be great for you. there are no buttons on the front. otherwise, you would turn off your movie because you have to double fist this thing to hold it. (i do see the logic in the design.) i want a light-weight, large-screen, one-hand tablet. the dual screen feature is a bit more tricky to access as well. :-(

the galaxy tab a is my 3rd samsung tablet. i think i made the right choice for me. i considered the newer, larger tablets, but i think the 10.1" screen of the tab a is right for me. i use my tab a for reading e-books and internet news sources. i also manage my e-mail accounts and do limited spreadsheet and word processor work.
