I bought this Samsung galaxy a for my wife believing it would be a good quality tablet, WRONG. It is very hard to hear sound, since the speakers are mounted on the end. It makes it difficult to hear for the person using it. Also it has a very short charging cord! And, the unit is very heavy being a metal case. I also talked to a tech...who pretty much just brushed me off.

I have had multiple problems from the beginning. . .I 'lost' google play at about a year in and so have no access to new apps, and I get pop ups all the time saying things like youtube are not supported. I loved it when I got it because I replacing my kindle 7" and was excited to have the bigger size. . .BUT. . .I still use my kindle for most things and use this sparingly.

I did not use my tablet a heck of a lot, but it was useful at times. I probably would have given it a 5 star rating, but I am locked out of it now and Samsung can't / won't help me. I never set any kind of password as I did not store any personal info on it. But apparently someone did and now I'm locked out, so essential it is a "warm brick". So-called factory reset just takes you back to sign in.

This tablet serves my needs which aren't elaborate. I could use more memory but that is why there is slot for sd card. Picture quality and battery life are excellent, recently took a trip that was 6+ hours....kids watched 3 different movies and it barely made a dent in power used. I have only found one app that I use that it not compatible with too.

If you are reading an artical and move slightly the tablet will close screen and open up something elce. BUY ONLY IF YOU PLAN ON PUTTING TABLET ON A TABLE WHEN READING ANYTHING.

I got this for my husband, who is relatively new to owning a tablet. Before this he has only used a Fire Tablet. He LOVES the Samsung Tab A! He says the picture quality is great, it was extremely easy to set up and it wonderful to use. He like the integration with his Samsung Note 9 cell phone also. It is an awesome tablet all around with a great price!

Bought it November 2018, delivered Nov 29, 2018 & today Jan 16, 2019 it wont charge or turn on!!!! Very disappointed!! I love my Samsung smartphones, TV's & tablets...until today. I have no idea why my TabA quit working. I noticed it needed to be charged so I plugged it in. Came back to it an hour later and the screen had the battery with the lightening bolt on it. Unplugged it & tried turning it on and NOTHING happened...

This is a decent tablet, but the main criticism I have is the lack of MHL to connect to an HDMI adapter. I travel a lot and the ability to connect it to a larger screen (read: hotel room is huge. There IS an ability to cast it to some smart TVs over wifi, but I prefer a direct connection as this is a more flexible way (read: hotel room). My older LG phone works this way, but this tablet, nope. Samsung fail. Also, the UI is a little non-intuitive in terms of navigating settings, files, etc. It just doesn't flow as well as some other android devices I've had.

I bought this Galaxy Tab A through C***co thinking that I could buy the stylus pen later - I was wrong even though I did a lot of research. I even called Samsung support and they told me the stylus pen would work with this tablet - WRONG! Carefully note the model numbers: Tab A w/o stylus pen: SM-T580 (T for touch? Does not work with stylus pen Tab A with stylus pen: SM-P580 (P for pen?) The SM-P580 definitely has a different hardware configuration than the SM-T580. Bottom line: DO NOT BUY the SM-T580 if you need to use a stylus pen. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the difficulty in trying to buy the right tablet.

I bought this a month ago and I love it. the website says that you can get up to 13 hours of battery life. I get five days 15 hours. the tablet has a big screen but is not so big that it makes my laptop feel like a 5 inch smartphone. My only complaint is that the thing nearly died. it was saved by pluging it in and giving a hard reset. My previous table had a weak processor that failed me within 6 months of getting the thing. this tablet restored my faith in tablets.

I have been attempting to set up and perform a few basic things on a brand new Galaxy Tab A 10.1 and giving up on it after many hours of futility. No information or even start up guide came with it. No real help on the internet but when I google "Galaxy Tab A 10.1 issues" I realize how many people are frustrated by their Sansungs. The answers they occasionally get from Samsung often don't help. Rather than wait for a catastrophe or spend a school semester trying to understand and program it, sending it right back. Never again Samsung, this is unbelievable.

I've bought 3 tablets just like this and all three have the same issue. The screen would randomly black out and not come on, sometimes for days if at all.

Designers never considered how users would use it. Speakers are both on the same short side. Should have been placed on oposite sides since it's most likely used in landscape mode. On the same note, the buttons should be on the long side since its too easy to accidently press them when holding the tablet in landscape.

I loved my Apple Ipad 2 untill it was no longer supported by the latest IOS versions and it became unstable - essentially useless. Since I didn't want to spend so much money on another Ipad, I bought the Tab A 10" and have had no regrets in over a year that I have it. At first I did not like it, adjusting took me a little bit of time. However, since then I am completely satisfied and use this tablet all day, every day. It is very reliable, charges quickly and the 32gid total memory package I bought is more than sufficient of rmy needs. FIFI works perfectly and the full suite of google apps work great. The price is unbeatable. I did go out and buy a good case for it ($19 on Amazon and recommend doing so for any tablet. I am considering getting the Tab A - for another use and it too is a steal!

purchased this T580 tablet less than a year ago.. used it occasionally... it no longer turns on... called customer support... no support .... told they would fix for a charge but could not tell me how much.. should have bought the I PAD, glad I did not purchase the Samsung QLED TV...

i have a Samsung tab A6 (wifi + 4G), from the time a bought it i get all the time update for tablet system, the problem is that update is so bad, infact, right now my tablet can't recognize the full storage on it, it get blocked a lot of time, i start thinking so serious to go to IPAD i guess its time to move on , now i trying to go back to the first version that i bought with (at least it was more stable then all these updates). think god i've never change my galaxy s6 edge version.

I've owned this Tablet almost 3 years and it's been great no issues at all "Until" now the battery will not hold the charge while on the charging cord and after purchasing multiple charging cords that work for a while and then the battery just starts dying all over again and it dies fast. I tried clearing everything out and maximizing my battery and it works and then fails.... purchasing a new battery and getting someone to install is proving difficult..... Love Samsung Galaxy Tabs!
