I bought this Galaxy Tab A through C***co thinking that I could buy the stylus pen later - I was wrong even though I did a lot of research. I even called Samsung support and they told me the stylus pen would work with this tablet - WRONG! Carefully note the model numbers: Tab A w/o stylus pen: SM-T580 (T for touch? Does not work with stylus pen Tab A with stylus pen: SM-P580 (P for pen?) The SM-P580 definitely has a different hardware configuration than the SM-T580. Bottom line: DO NOT BUY the SM-T580 if you need to use a stylus pen. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the difficulty in trying to buy the right tablet.

I bought this a month ago and I love it. the website says that you can get up to 13 hours of battery life. I get five days 15 hours. the tablet has a big screen but is not so big that it makes my laptop feel like a 5 inch smartphone. My only complaint is that the thing nearly died. it was saved by pluging it in and giving a hard reset. My previous table had a weak processor that failed me within 6 months of getting the thing. this tablet restored my faith in tablets.

I have owned this tablet for about a month and absolutely love it. It has enough storage and speed to do all that I need to use it for. Best tablet for the price that I have ever owned

I loved my Apple Ipad 2 untill it was no longer supported by the latest IOS versions and it became unstable - essentially useless. Since I didn't want to spend so much money on another Ipad, I bought the Tab A 10" and have had no regrets in over a year that I have it. At first I did not like it, adjusting took me a little bit of time. However, since then I am completely satisfied and use this tablet all day, every day. It is very reliable, charges quickly and the 32gid total memory package I bought is more than sufficient of rmy needs. FIFI works perfectly and the full suite of google apps work great. The price is unbeatable. I did go out and buy a good case for it ($19 on Amazon and recommend doing so for any tablet. I am considering getting the Tab A - for another use and it too is a steal!

purchased this T580 tablet less than a year ago.. used it occasionally... it no longer turns on... called customer support... no support .... told they would fix for a charge but could not tell me how much.. should have bought the I PAD, glad I did not purchase the Samsung QLED TV...

i have a Samsung tab A6 (wifi + 4G), from the time a bought it i get all the time update for tablet system, the problem is that update is so bad, infact, right now my tablet can't recognize the full storage on it, it get blocked a lot of time, i start thinking so serious to go to IPAD i guess its time to move on , now i trying to go back to the first version that i bought with (at least it was more stable then all these updates). think god i've never change my galaxy s6 edge version.

I've owned this Tablet almost 3 years and it's been great no issues at all "Until" now the battery will not hold the charge while on the charging cord and after purchasing multiple charging cords that work for a while and then the battery just starts dying all over again and it dies fast. I tried clearing everything out and maximizing my battery and it works and then fails.... purchasing a new battery and getting someone to install is proving difficult..... Love Samsung Galaxy Tabs!

I had an 8 in Samsung tablet for several years and decided to upgrade with a 10.1 tablet. Great idea!! I love my new tablet even more than my 8 inch. Of course I also have a Samsung phone. I have supported Samsung for many years and will continue.

I had a Next Book, kept on having major problems. Decided to upgrade and heard good things about Samsung. So far, the machine is great, just what I wanted and quite impressive for a tablet. Like the larger screen and the features. I use it with my astronomy programs and mathematical programs.

While the tablet works well you advertise 16gb that you have system software using 14gb. We put in a memory card and we cannot download these large apps on it and we cannot move them either. What you should say is we get 2GB of usable space and unless we are taking pictures the SD Card is worthless

Bought new in Dec. 2016 and enjoyed it while I could. It has been used relatively lightly, a few hours on the weekends generally, sometimes not for weeks. Now in August 2018 it won't charge or turn on. From what I've seen online when researching the issue this seems to be a common problem with many Samsung tablets going back several years. Why hasn't this been addressed by Samsung? Unfortunately none of the fixes I found has brought my tablet back to life. Of course it's now out of warranty and the cost to ship and have repaired is likely more than I paid for the tablet. I'll have to think long and hard before investing my hard earned cash into another Samsung tablet. Wasn't expecting to own a brick after such a short time.

The only "flaw" I see are the controls on the bottom. Easily bumped. Software wise, I'm still trying to get the spell check to work. Otherwise, I love this tablet.

I read over 500 reviews before purchasing this tablet and not ONE asked or said in their review that there was no sim card slot and no way to get a data plan if needed. Neither did the company I purchased it from!! Of course, I didnt find this out until it was too late to return it!! Thats always how things in life work I guess. And I do not have a hotspot option, I just bought a computer from the same company because this was ALWAYS out of stock!! Soon as I got the computer this was back!!! Of course!!!! I use this amost all day everyday. I LOVEEEEEE THIS TABLET!!!! BEST PURCHASE IVE EVER MADE!!!!

I previously owned a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5. The high definition screen and thin profile was awesome, but the battery life was very short and the processor was not good for gaming. This new Tab A has awesome battery life and a very fast processor excellent for gaming. The only complaint I have is that the storage capacity is almost 50% used up by system apps and additional Samsung, Android and Microsoft Apps that I really do not want or need. I have turned several of them off because you cannot delete them and I still am at almost 50% storage used. I bought a 64 GB external SD card, but the issue I have with that follows. I have downloaded one fairly demanding game and moved it to the external SD card. It is 900 MB and only 103 MBs have moved to the external storage. I do not understand why the entire game does not move out there which would provide me with more internal storage. Other than that...for the price...this tablet really is a good value and I would recommend it.

This is the first tablet I have owned so my review is not going to be a comparison but more of me adapting from a notebook computer. I love it. The problems I have had with navigating the net are going away as I am learning. The Email client that was supplied took a little to get used to I now think is great. The battery life is fantastic and the charge time is very quick. All around I am adapting to tablet life and am very happy.
