the reason for the one star.... in december 2020, it just failed. meaning it would not power up. no reset tool. nothing. equally worse was there was no way to contact samsung customer service for assistance. big company so i can get over that. my real issue is that there must be a manufacturers defect on this tablet as when i did research entirely too many people complained of my exact same issue. meaning... you wake up one morning and the tablet just does not turn on.

i have the s2 8" ive had it well over 3 yrs. im sad to say the charging port has finally worn out. i love my tablet so much. im able to produce documents like a pro. play games like a wanna be pro and watch movies. make or recieve phone calls you name it this tab is tops. no scratches on the screen still after all these years. great camera. great storage. head phone jack. im going to miss it. ive hardly set it down in 3 years. literally ive used my tablet 10 plus hours a day at least 5 days plus a week. ..

I've had this tablet since 5th grade and it still runs really fast, and the brightness is amazing, but when I had to go get it looked at there was a problem with the port and I found out that you would have to get a new tablet because the port is connected to the motherboard. But overall great tablet.

I bought this tablet to use on a vacation that got cancelled so I put it away for several months since I didn't have a use for it. Then I took it out recently to set it up for my Mom to use and after only 4 uses the WiFi quit working. And surprise! My Warranty had already expired so I am stuck with a $300 paperweight!

This is my first tablet of any kind and I love my tablet more than my phone. It is the perfect size for me to take with me any where. The fact that it has Microsoft Office included on the tablet was the biggest seller to me. I love Samsung products because I believe, they are of high quality. I wish I could load my ITunes account on here, but it's ok. I'll get an IPhone for that.

I like the bright display and the vibrant colors. At 9.7,it's not bulky and plays movies or videos nicely. It was easy for me to find the right case, keyboard and screen protector for my tablet. I think I'll keep it for a while. My only little issue is that sometimes it can be slow. The camera and speakers need improvement too, in my opinion. I'll recommend this tablet and my family has two of them.

This device is an amazing performer and worthy IPad competitor. It's fast CPU and sufficient Ram makes use very easy and swift. The design is beautiful, and lightweight. It doesn't even feel like your holding a device this large! Light as a feather! Plus it comes in Gold! The display, an amazing display from Samsung, a flagship super AMOLED display has wide viewing angles and is very sharp! Despite being large, it doesn't lack pixels! The cameras, they are Ok, but if you are really using a large tablet to take most of your photos, please reevaluate your choices. The UI, the OS runs nougat which is pretty recent (at time of writing and I don't notice any slowdown! The touchwiz UI is getting a lot better, less bloatware and more actual device. The inclusion of MS apps was nice, but some I don't use so I had to disable them. All in all, if your looking for an IPad like device on android, then this tablet is definitely for you!

Received Galaxy S2 8.2 Tablet 32GB as a birthday present 3/2016. Loved it... then less than 3 months later the tablet would not charge. As it was under warranty they "repaired" it. My husband COULD of bought a refurbished tablet for $100 less... 2 1/2 months later it was basically "refurbished'. Samsung refused to replace with a new tablet. Now just under 1 1/2 years same problem... tablet will not charge. Now out of warranty. Have researched on the web and seems to be a common problem.

I have owned this tablet for over six months and I regret purchasing it. The internet drops on it every 15 minutes so no matter what you are working on or watching it refreshes and other applications open up and interrupt. My unit is in services for the second time with no solution the first time and who knows how it will return. So far I have been 30 days without a tablet and its been torture. I have many Samsung products and this is the only one I have had issues with ...But its all it takes to stop buying Samsung tablets

Samsung galaxy tab2 works great! It has a lot of ram, so I can download many apps online. These days a lot of things can be done with one click. I love it. I can easily manage my apps in folders, and I am enjoying it. I love it, it's great!

I love this tablet. I have been an Ipad fan for years. It was time for a new tablet and I almost bought another Ipad. I'm glad I didn't. The Samsung Galaxy S2 is super fast and has an incredible screen. There is one downside. Samsung did not put the Galaxy S2 "wifi only" tablet on the list of upgradeable products. In other words, this particular tablet will not be able to receive the upgrade to Nougat. That's a bummer! If I had known that at the time of purchase, I would have waited.

I bought this to replace a tablet I had lost. It has a much faster processor speed than my previous tablet. I really like the ability to install apps to the SD card to save the tablet's internal storage. Some may complain that it's too big, but I have been very pleased with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.

Though I have extensive experience on four OSes (Windows, Apple, Unix, Linux) used by PCs, this is my first tablet. I am pleased with my purchase. I chose the 9.7 in tablet over the 8 in tablet since I have large hands and since I am used to large screens. That was an excellent decision! The smaller tablet likely would have frustrated me. I use my tablet mostly for reading (Kindle, doc and pdf files, etc.) and watching videos (downloaded Silent Service shows and Netflix movies). Even with the larger format, the virtual keyboard is not large enough nor does it perform in a manner that lets me do touch typing. So I leave productive work (this review, for example) to my PCs. Others may be more facile than am I with tablets and can do productive work on them more easily. That is not a hit on Samsung, just the nature of tablets I greatly appreciate the Samsung personalizations of the android OS. They have increased the usability of this platform for me and have provided a source of applications that I feel I can trust more than those otherwise found only on Google Play. The battery's stamina is nice! I can spend a large part of my day watching videos or reading books before they need recharging. I have not even bothered doing some things that would make the battery last longer, such as turning off WiFi and Bluetooth when not in use. I installed a 128 GiB extension card and I'm glad that I did. I have plenty of real estate remaining, despite my extensive downloads of videos and documents. It took me quite some time to figure out how to create and use folders on that card, though. The voice command bit is cute but I confess not to using it, just out of habit. The handwriting to text bit is cute also, but the passive stylus needed for this type of tablet makes me feel like I'm picking my teeth with a garden spade. So I personally do not benefit much from those gimmicks. However, they might be useful adaptive features for some, especially the voice commands. The device is sturdily built, though I did add a Sparin tempered glass screen protector to the screen. And I have put the tablet in a nice case made by Tech Vendor. Both were obtained via Amazon. I created fingerprint images for unlocking and authorizations but the tablet still insists on using the PIN that I created as a back-up. I could have just stuck with PIN security. The largest lacking in my view is that there is not enough easily found documentation on how to do things on the tablet. A lot of what is out there tells you what you can do without saying enough about how to do it. Experienced tablet users, especially of android tablets, probably don't want as much hand-holding as I was looking for. In all, a good buy and a great product!

My old tablet was 5-6 years old, and very slow. Bought this new Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 so I wouldn't have to lug my regular laptop, and am very pleasedi. It's fast, light weight, and I love it. Even got a Bluetooth keyboard for lengthier emails, etc.

Im glad I made the right choice and I love that it has expandable memory. I bought my Galaxy S2 after a multitude of aggravations with my ipad, and I can't even express how much better I like the Galaxy. It's light as a feather and faster than the ipad. I really like having the numbers above the letters like you find on a computer keyboard. The camera is great, pictures are clear and bright on the screen. Really, I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, it's a great tablet!
