I researched, agonized and changed my mind multiple times before I bought the Tab Pro S. I needed to replace my old Dell laptop from 2007 and wanted to be able to run the full Office suite of programs like I could on it. I also am very attached to my tablet (Nexus 9) for it's portability and ease to sit on the sofa and shop, or read, or just browse. So I decided I wanted a small laptop, but it had to have a great screen, be very portable, and be able to run full Office programs. I looked long and hard at the Suface Pro 4 and the newest Macbook. I briefly considered the Dell XPS 13, but really didn't want to go Dell again. Wavered a lot on the Surface and the Macbook though....just a hard decision. Finally decided the Tab Pro S ticked all the boxes for me and the price on sale at $799 didn't hurt either (and WITH the keyboard). I have not regretted my decision. This thing is gorgeous (got it in white) and so slim and lightweight. And I really like this keyboard! Reviews have not been kind to the keyboard, but surprisingly I type very easily on it and find it very pleasant, if not just plain fun to type on. I know that is a very personal thing and some won't find it that way - but it is really perfect for me. I am sitting on the couch now with the Tab Pro S in my lap on a cushion and typing away quite well and happily. Obviously this is not the most powerful machine out there and not for a gamer, and probably not for a graphic artist or someone who needs heavy video editing capabilities. This laptop is for someone who needs to be able to run Office well and do word processing, spreadsheets, etc. In other words general folks who need a good portable computer that gets their day-to-day work done and that they can also enjoy for movies, shopping, browsing. I have found it to be quick and responsive so far and it starts up quickly after being shut down. And Windows 10 is awesome on this! Really this is how Windows 10 is meant to be. (I had downloaded Windows 10 on my old laptop and it was a hot mess..) And needless to say this screen is fantastic. Samsung always does that right and you'll not be disappointed here. So this is a small laptop AND a large tablet and I'm enjoying it as both. It is not for everyone, but I'm happy I decided on it. The one USB type C port is a pain for sure, so I really should have deducted one star for that, but that problem can be worked around with a dongle/adapter - but really Samsung, we shouldn't have to do that. You're not Apple! :) But Sammy did include the keyboard, so there's that.... And did I say I liked the keyboard? Yes, yes I did. Even if it's not back-lit, I really love it. I don't type in low-light settings so I don't care one way or the other about it being back-lit or not. This will go to work with me as well as be used at home. I will be typing minutes and taking notes while in meetings and it will be a great assist for that! And then it will go back home and get well used for everything else I need it for. It's a pretty cool little machine, useful, attractive, and quick. I'm happy. Oh, and Adorama got it to me quickly and packaged well - thanks for that Adorama!
