bought this monitor to add to my upgraded mac system. monitor is quite good by found a few issues down the track. i bought a dual mounting arm to attach the monitor only to find the mounting screws holes are at the top of the monitor, this means that the monitor would not lift any higher than it would with the stand. also when the computer is in sleep mode the monitor will turn on for about 10 seconds and then turn off again, this happens about once an hour so i have turn the monitor off when i am not using the computer. to turn off the monitor you need to use the press the toggle inconveniently at the back of the monitor and toggle to the off position and enter, this is really awkward. samsung could not assist with this issue. i would expect better design from samsung.

bought this monitor like... 2 years ago or so because i just had to have a 4k display for my xbox one x... at the time i was convinced 4k was all i cared about, but the fact is this monitor is garbage if you intend to use the hdmi ports. first off each port has different capabilities (only one with do 60hz) but neither support the suite of features this monitor has to offer. i held out hope maybe some sort of firmware patch might correct this some day, or maybe adapter technology would catch up to allow me to use hdr and vrr with the hdmi port but no avail. so on top of all that the color looks bad, i assume because i cant use the hdr. monitor has been a subpar experience for years, wish i had returned it while i could tl:dr- i should've returned it when i got it.

the vesa mount not being in the center is really making life difficult. i wish i could rotate it properly by having the axis in the center but now it has to go all the way around. and the arm also shows from the top, looks ugly. i absolutely love this monitor but vesa experience makes it a deal-breaker.

I put it alongside a factory-calibrated Dell monitor and still can't make colors look even a little decent, which is really inconvenient in dual-monitor setup when you see the difference a few times every minute. Did not had such problem with Samsung's laptop UHD panel.

I just read a review that I wished I had seen before I purchased. The VESA mounting holes are at the top of the monitor, so there is no wall mount you can get that will not show above the monitor. I just purchased and realized this, so I still have time to return. It is too bad, because I really like my previous Samsung monitors.

Amazing low budget 4k monitor for gaming and work but the stand is terrible. It is very shaky but aslong you dont shake you table you should be fine. Currently using for my Xbox One X and works great. You get pretty much everything you would get with a high end monitor!

I purchased this monitor to connect to my 15" MacBook Pro and replace my 5K iMac. Quality seems great and similar to the iMac when scaled properly. Had issues getting 60Hz to work over HDMI, then I realized that 60Hz is only supported on DisplayPort or HDMI 2. You cannot use 4K 60Hz on HDMI 1.

Ever since I bought this monitor, it takes tens of minutes to sync up after any restart. now it will not stay in sync! Very bad! Warranty folks giving the run-a-round. Am I stuck with it?

I reinstalled W10 on my SP3. Previously I had struggled to get the monitor drivers to work correctly until a tech in India helped me out. Not tech support is in the Dominican Republic and it seems they do not understand the problem (which my be related to 24" drivers showing up for 28" screen). I can no longer recommend Samsung products, I also had an issue with my S8 where they sent me back an inferior replacement phone. Too bad, I used to enjoy their products.

I bought two of these to use as colour monitors on our two computers we use for post production on images. We use a main monitor and a second monitor on each mac. I don't need optical, colour printing excellence for the stuff we do as its not fine art or 'dogs nuts' printing but we do need to get near enough and match our output for our business as photographers. I bought these to augment, a new computer. and move up from a delightful 8 year old near excellent smaller samsung monitor and a non samsung monitor. Sorry to say this monitor does not come near the old one. I don't mind the stand, I don't mind the design and I don't mind the price if it does the job. But it doesn't, there is just not enough colour corrections options, in our case it can't get the blues right. Not much but enough and it's not like colour correction is new to us. It's not loads out but it's not near enough either, and it doesn't have to be much to cause us to have problems with customers. I'll try the other one but I expected better from Samsung.

The colors are so bad on this monitor that my laptop with a privacy screen filter installed still looks better than it. Everything is washed out gray and hazey.

Bought this monitor less than a month ago, seeing that it was a UHD/4K. The plan was to use it for mild gaming, NOT intense graphics. We were saddened, tho, when first using it. IT DID NOT POP, as we expected it to, esp with all the promised features. In fact, the screen resolution is somewhat dull. Decided to return it to Best Buy, but the sales folks convinced us to try again, adjusting some features, making sure the GTX graphic card had the latest version (which it did), and following some simple instructions. Well, none of those helped. We are terribly disappointed with this monitor. I have a smaller HP curved monitor that is miles beyond the color of this Samsung unit. Don't have the energy to repackage it and drag it back to the store again... too far to go, more gas/ time/money/headache invested in it so far. So, looks like we're dealing with it. Caution advised.. compare it with other monitors before purchase.

I bought this monitor less than 2 months ago and I guess my model was faulty at the beginning. It is hurting my eyes like the GPU driver isn't installed, however it is and I have a GPU that supports 4k. THe feeling is like the screen is flickering all the time and I cant work more than 2 hours on it. And this is not a brightness issue. Even with low brightness I still can't work on it. Also, it was not turning on with the PC and I had to manually turn it on. So I brought it to the official warranty and I received it back only 1 month later. It turned out that the motherboard of the monitor was faulty. It seems that it fixed the eye hurting and weird static sounds the screen was making. Now a week or two later, the screen is hurting my eyes again and the HDMI2 sometimes is turning off and doing some visual tearing. And it is not the cable fault as i tried it with multiple ones. Now i have to take it again back to warranty for the second time owning a new monitor for less than 2 months. I feel absolutely tired of this. I want to get my money back or get a new screen, as it is complete nonsense that you have to fix a completely new screen already 2nd time in couple of months. Besides all this, I am not sure if the picture quality is also that good based on the device description.

I am loving this monitor. I upgraded from a 1080p 60 hz monitor and its just stunning. My only complaint is the placement of the vesa mount holes. Because they are placed at the top of the monitor, the arm I was using only held the monitor 1 inch above the desk when fully extended. Other than this, I can easily say that this monitor was the best purchase I've ever made.

I bought this monitor a week ago and I am very happy with it. The picture is very bright and clear. The stand makes my desk feel clean and organized. Also the stand swivels so I can view the screen at a good angle. Also the AMD Freesync tech is awesome should make any game look better. It has a very fast response time. Really this screen has it all. Check out my video to see how it comes and looks. Basically you wont need another screen until 8K becomes main stream.

I bought this monitor about a year ago and love its display quality. Although my computer does not support 60 Hz refresh (yes to 4K at 30 Hz, the colours and picture quality is very nice. The overall design is great as well! Plus, it's EnergyStar certified.

This is no way about the performance of video quality as i haven't used it enough. Problem i has was to mount it on my desk using an arm. Skrew position on the monitor make it almost imposible to balance this monitor veritically on a mount. Now, i am struggling to return it as it was an online order. very bad design for the mounting bracket holes.

1) The VESA holes are on top of the monitor. No matter which adapter you use, it will never be higher than the original support (the holes are so high that the plate stays above the monitor border). And the holes are lower than the back of the monitor (where the cables are connected), so there is no way whatsoever to fix that. 2) Is hard to turn the monitors off. There's a bug on nVidia + DisplayAdapter where my second monitor keeps turning on/off when the computer is in stand by. To turn this monitor off it has to be on (remember: it is flickering on/off mode), and you'll have to use a menu to turn it off! Cmon!

Without Samsung drivers it only runs generic display drivers and is NOT optimized for gaming. VERY POOR support on the Samsung site which will continuously run you in circles to find a driver that does not exist. This is NOT disclosed on the packaging. In the past I have used Samsung appliances, Phones, laptops, and TV's but this is the last.

Nice monitor, realistic color and starts up quickly. Only weird issue is the VESA mount location which is on the top of the monitor. Get a very tall VESA arm or put it upside down.

Other than the digital display port not working, it's a fine monitor. Just got it back from Samsung for repair and the digital display port still does not work.

First of all, I would buy this monitor again. Second of all, I have no problem with the TN panel. However, the stock monitor stand is every bit as bad as people say. To add insult to injury the VESA mount is at the top of the monitor, which: 1. Makes it hard to line up with you other monitors if you have a dual monitor stand. 2. Makes it hard to get the monitor high enough in some applications, potentially negatively affecting ergonomics.

What do you buy a monitor for .? You want a visual experience that is great. This monitor exceeds my expectations. Keep in mind that most users are going to use this monitor for 4-7 hours a day. While building my system the most important is (eye candy i want to be able to look at my monitor that is easy on my eyes and has great visuals. I have used this monitor with the onboard hdmi and display port on my Asus 1080ti video card. Both are very easy to watch and use. Gaming graphics @ 4k is stunning and with the 1ms response time it makes the games the best experience I have had. The negative. The Vesa mount is 75mm standard , however it is offset. It is located at the top ,instead of the middle. I use multiple monitors and have a desk mount to support dual monitors and they cannot be side by side due to the mount difference. however if you just use it on the desk , the adjustments that can be made are very extensive. Planning on buying 2 more very soon. One other thing, The power supply is external and can be replaced if you have a power line problem. So a new power supply instead of sending it somewhere for repair, if that ever comes up. I will get another monitor very soon to replace the other monitor I use , then the VESA issue will be corrected. For the price point you really can not do any better. And in some instances you can more and still come up short in quality.

While waiting on delivery, I had a few negative questions about it. Once set up, all my negative questions were answered positively. I have a PC, MacBook, and DirecTV connected to it. Having no speakers is easily resolved with a pair of PC speakers with a 3.5" jack. I cannot put into words how I feel about the size, resolution, colors, and other specs.

The height of this monitor can not be adjusted at all. Of course, this may work fine for you depending on your height, the height of your chair and your desk, but for many, it won't. I would never sit in front of such a monitor for an extended period of time. Since I immediately returned the ones I received, I cannot say anything sensible about the performance of the monitor, as it is unusable to us due to the above issues. I am appalled that something like this can come out of the design process of a company like Samsung.

Overall, it’s a great product. The only reason I don’t give it five stars it’s because of its sturdiness. For such a large monitor, it doesn’t feel like its frame and stand are strong enough to support. I will buy a monitor arm to attach it to my desk. Other than that, it’s an awesome product for the price. I still have to see how it performs in the long run.

Main Use of Monitor: Graphic Design / Video Editing / Gaming Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R9 290X Overall this is an excellent monitor at a great price! A few things to note: -Be sure to use a DisplayPort 1.2 connection for full 4K at 60Hz (HDMI only does 30Hz. Don't forget to install the driver included on the CD as well, or from the Samsung website. -If you use Catalyst Control Center, be sure to set the refresh rate to 60Hz if you want 10-bit color. The 64Hz setting restricts you to 8-bit ...
