I got this monitor for my workstation at work where I do a lot of photography and microscopy. The monitor failed within about 18 months or so and had to be shipped away for warranty repair. About a year later, it has failed again. Now it's out of warranty and I have a $1300 brick on my hands. I see Samsung is no longer making nor offering anything like it now. I would not recommend this monitor to anyone given my personal experience. When it worked, it was a truly beautiful monitor. I arrived with one dead pixel that happened to be where I looked frequently, but I didn't mind as the overall image quality was amazing. Two fails in one year for such an expensive product is unacceptable though, especially when it's relied upon for work needs.
