After reviewing a number of large size TV's, I settled on the Samsung 60" mainly based on picture quality and reputation. I have had a smaller Samsung LCD TV for about four years and I'm very pleased with its performance. Since getting the TV, I have enjoyed the many features available on s "smart TV." Set-up was easy and straight forward. The installation booklet is helpful but I found it more useful to download the more informative e-manual on my computer rather than try to read it directly on the TV. After about two weeks of tweeking the picture controls, I finally have a picture I am happy with. The most negative aspect of the TV is the remore control. It has a large touch pad in the center which works ok, but if you let you finger move to the bottom, it triggers the recommendations and suggestions on-screen listings. This can be anoying when trying to enter text with the remote. It would also be nice to have a numeric pad directly on the remote for channel changes. The remote is rectangular and symetrical so I occassionally find myself trying to use it upside down, especially in a dark room. The side mounted mute button can also be easily engaged when grabbing or holding the remote. As for the TV itself, it would have been nice to have an USB and mini HDMI port of the side. My TV is wall mounted and you have to remove it from the wall to make cable connections.

The Samsung UN60F7100 60" 1080p 3D LED TV features an advanced picture contrast technology. A Clear Motion Rate of 720 is an incredible level of motion-clarity. TVs with this CMR can display action-packed movement with impressive sharpness, clarity and contrast. Clear Motion Rate was developed to accurately measure how well an LCD or LED TV can depict fast-moving images. Previously, motion-clarity was calculated by the frame refresh rate alone. But CMR offers a more complete measure by calculating 3 factors: frame refresh rate, image processor speed and backlight technology.
