This is hands down the best 3D monitor I've ever used. It is definitely pricely, but it honestly blew me away how crispt the image stays in 3D! Worth every penny for a 3D experience. The depth is really good, and the eye tracking is almost perfection. In the official software, only specific games work. ??You will have to put in a little bit of work to get unsupported games working ??. If you are familiar with game modding, you will have no issues. But otherwise the monitor offers plenty of features. But if you follow guides written by the community 3D enthusiasts/contributors, you can get 3D working well in most games with 3rd party software. Through some tweaking, I am able to get unsupported games to launch in 3D, not side-by-side, and in 4K, just like the supported ones. It is a seemless experience that I hope Samsung can incorporate into more titles. But power-users can always bring it to games they enjoy. Just don't do it in competitive multiplayer titles. I am happily enjoying 3D in many AAA and indie titles in 4K. As for the AI conversion, I had no issues. Worked well for me with both a 3090 and a 5090 with current drivers as of May 2025.

It's a really great 4k monitor and the glassfree 3d is amazing. The only downside to it is the price, need rtx 3080 and up, game compatibility and software as of writing this review. There are only 14 games available right now, but you can force other games to play in 3d if it use Unreal Engine but not all games with Unreal engine works. The reality hub don't have the feature to select and play non compatible 3d games but i got the game called (The Quarry) to work and other misc games by selecting one of the game titles like dragonball and choosing the game path exe. file to the games that you want to play. Other game that don't use Unreal Engine doesn't work like Snowdrop, Unity ect.. and I hope the Reality Hub software will get better compatibility in the future. I recommend you wait until this monitor gets cheaper with better game compatibility. If you have money lying on the floor now and want the best tech than get it ASAP.

I got this and I was very disappointed to find only a small handful of select games even worked with the 3D feature. I was even more disappointed when I couldn't get any of those select games to work in 3D. The monitor is alright but since the 3D didn't work for me and my PC was more than capable of handling it, its just not worth it. I want to love this and I'll buy it again if they ever fix the software and make at least 50 big name title games work with the software. Even better if they just make the AI convert all games to 3D though. Here's hoping they can make this monitor the future, cause right now, they have a lot of work to do to make this thing worth the money.

Pros: Still images look amazing on this monitor. Cons: Everything Else, even the return policy. Cannot believe they wanted 2,000 for this. This thing has the worst contrast ratio Ive ever experienced. Only a 165Hz monitor which lets be honest is very slow compared to the monitors of last decade. The biggest reason you'd buy this is 4k because the 3D is locked behind proprietary software that Windows 11 thinks is a Virus and deletes the installer before you have a chance to run it. The image smears like it has 5ms response.. absolutely disgusting.

I was able to get it to work on a handful of games, but only after installing the software 5 times. It took about 10 hours of troubleshooting to get it to work. The 2d to 3d video converter doesn't work at all. I have tried with 10 different sources, and it never works. I would say don't buy this and get a better OLED monitor that doesn't do 3D.

Reality hub shows error message "Reality Hub can only run when connected to the Samsung ODYSSEY 3D monitor (Model Code: G90XF) even though t's the only monitor connected. Update May 3rd, 2025 It's fine now after using cables included in the box. The 3D effect is fantastic almost like a hologram. Great work, Samsung!

The 27" Samsung Odyssey 3D is an impressive and interesting gaming monitor in my opinion. This glass-free 3D monitor works without compromise and does not strain my eyes. I was visually impressed by the depth of field and that there seemed to be no compromised to make it happen. Most of the games I tested in 3D seemed to work well and didn't make my eyes ache after a few minutes of play. With the 2D video content, the Samsung Odyssey 3D uses artificial intelligence to convert it into 3D. I was extremely impressed by how well it worked. Despite being expensive, this 27" Samsung Odyssey 3D monitor worth every cents.

I love 3D tech. I have a couple dozen 3D blu-rays and a couple old televisions I can't bear to part with because they support 3D. I even have one of those really expensive headsets so I can enjoy the latest content in 3D. Oh and I have one of those 3D handhelds. I was surprised to see the Odyssey 3D advertised and it was an instant buy for me. It is a bit pricy and small, especially since I am coming from a 42" OLED TV. What happened to the 37" version? The Odyssey 3D gaming monitor is a solid step in the right direction and I hope to see the technology become more widespread with greater adoption by content and media producers. It has an absolutely stunning/beautiful picture for being IPS. The 3D is incredible with the right content. Negatives: No support for native 3D input over HDMI. If I could have been able to plug my PS3 into this and play my 3D games and watch my 3D blu-rays, it would have been a no brainer 5/5 rating. The reason for this lack of native hardware 3D support is that the monitor requires an RTX graphics card; the eye tracking and 3D output are all software based and rely on the RTX to process. It's probably a better quality result overall, just inconvenient. I would have gladly sacrificed one of the hdmi 2.1 ports for native 3D over hdmi. I have found ways around this, so I'll leave it at that. Some 3D emu apps that can output 3D SBS in full screen also work. Despite the negatives, I am going to keep it. At full MSRP with no extras? Maybe not.

Is it perfect, nope, will it get better, I hope so, am I surprised more people are not purchasing it.... yep! I would say this is the most mind-blowing piece of tech I've bought in the past 15 years. No lie! I just hope that Samsung commits to making the selection of media more widespread. The applications and games that work currently, I dig it. I really really dig this monitor.
