Very nice monitor. Very clear and detailed and user friendly.

The Odyssey 3D G90XF is one of the most impressive gaming monitors I've used so far. The 27-inch 4K display delivers incredibly sharp detail, and the 165Hz refresh rate makes everything feel smooth and responsive-even during fast-paced gameplay. Motion blur is basically nonexistent. What really stands out is the 3D capability. The depth effect is surprisingly good, adding immersion without feeling gimmicky. Games that support 3D feel like a completely different experience. Even in 2D mode, the screen is bright, vibrant, and has excellent color accuracy. The build quality is solid, and the stand has good adjustability. Connectivity options are straightforward and easy to set up. The only downside is that it's definitely a premium-priced monitor-but you can tell where the money goes. If you're looking for a high-end 4K gaming monitor with cutting-edge features and smooth performance, the Odyssey 3D G90XF delivers.

Really nice screen but on the lower end for refresh rate. Does lack USB-C. Otherwise, nice monitor

The screen is beautiful, very glossy. I haven't owned a nicer screen before. I love everythiung about the screen. Where I am deeply dissapointed is in the software. The monitor and technology itself are 5/5, it's like going from black and white to colored tv. When it works, its mind-blowing and transformational as an experinece. I have a Asus G14 5070ti with 12gigs vram, 32 gig ddr6 ram, and 2d-3d conversion was not working for me. SBS conversion works awesome. I tried upgrading, downgrading from 1.0.9 to 1.2.2m, without success. Also when trying the launcher, it has been a very inconsistent experience with launching the 3d applications themselves. I am a tech enthusiast, but I cannot recommend this to even intermediate users at this stage due to the difficulty of software and workarounds you may have to try. I really, really want to keep this monitor, but 90% of my use cases would involve 2d-3d conversion, and thus I am likely returning it. I cannot state enough how magical this monitor could be, but the software simply isn't there. I may return this unit, but I would repurchase it if I knew for certain 2d-3d conversion would work for me. It's simply the best tech I've experienced par none for immersion.

Amazing prototype for whats to come. Not all games are supported yet obviously, but as more do the monitor will only feel that much better. It was kind of freaky at first but I got used to it rather quick. Hopefully movies and etc via streaming services will be supported in future.

Best monitor experience I ever had. Movies in 3d are one thing, but this technology is perfect for gaming.

The display is certainly an interesting experience, especially with the glass-less 3D feature enabled. Overall, the display appears to perform well in regards to its picture quality and motion performance and features such as G-Sync/FreeSync capability. There can be some artifacts at off-axis viewing angles that's likely due to the filter used for the glass-less 3D effect, but it's otherwise a decent performing monitor. The glass-less 3D feature is the main draw and likely a primary reason for its price. While the native games are definitely mesmerizing to view, with the 2D to 3D conversion being a fascinating feature to experiment with, the very limited library makes it a tough sell. Either the library of native games and apps needs to expand - ideally sooner rather than later - or the price of the display should be adjusted to reflect the limited library. While the 2D to 3D conversion is a fun party trick, it has the hallmarks of a gimmicky feature. However, the Side-By-Side conversion does improve on some of the shortcomings of simple 2D to 3D conversion.

The Odyssey 3D G90XF delivers an incredible gaming experience. The 4K resolution combined with 3D capability makes visuals sharp and immersive. The 165Hz refresh rate ensures buttery-smooth gameplay with no lag, perfect for competitive gaming. Connectivity options are versatile and easy to set up, and the monitor's size and design fit well on any desk without feeling bulky. If you want top-tier performance and stunning display quality, this monitor is worth every penny.

The Odyssey 3D is a fantastic gaming monitor offering 4K resolution and 165hz, of course the main reason to buy is 3D. Being able to play games in 3D and watch movies/videos without glasses is a revelation, i love VR but this is so much easier.

The 3D is impressive! Color and brightness is excellent. 3D game list is short but Samsung keeps adding compatible games once in a while.

The Samsung Odyssey 3D (G90XF) is a cutting-edge gaming monitor that offers an impressive glasses-free 3D experience using eye-tracking and a lenticular lens. With a 27-inch 4K display, 165Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time, it delivers smooth, vibrant visuals even in 2D mode. The 3D effect is immersive and eye-catching, but game support is limited, and the $1,999 price tag makes it a niche product for early adopters. While it shows the potential of next-gen gaming displays, it's best suited for enthusiasts with powerful PCs and a passion for new tech.

The Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF is a cutting-edge 27" 4K gaming monitor with a 165Hz refresh rate and a unique glasses-free 3D feature. It delivers sharp visuals, fast response times, and vibrant color accuracy, making it a strong performer even in standard 2D mode. The 3D experience can be impressive when it works, adding real depth and immersion, but it's held back by limited game support, software quirks, and a demanding setup. For tech enthusiasts and early adopters, it's an exciting glimpse into the future - but for most gamers, it may still feel like a niche experiment.

This samsung monitor is one of the best if not the best I have ever owned. It has absolutely insane performance, even for the hefty price tag. I love this thing to death, it's just so smooth and fast and responsive.

The monitor technology is very cool to experience in person. The natively supported games work ok and there's a plethora of community fixes that can be played on this monitor as well! The Odyssey hub takes forever to load though. The ghosting between eyes can get bad in high contrast scenes with high separation. Only the Eco picture mode is good for 3D, otherwise you'll get bad ghosting like in this attached picture. The AI 3D conversion for videos is a neat addition for DRM free content.

Tried the Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF at home-mind-blowing depth without glasses! Eye-tracking keeps the 3D stable as you move, and games like Cyberpunk 2077 feel insanely immersive. But the sweet spot's small, and brightness drops in 3D mode. When it works, it's magic; when it doesn't, it's headache city. Cutting-edge, but not perfect in my opinion. Looking forward to this tech advancing and getting larger size screen dimensions.

Not sure if my display is just defective (with how bad mine looks that may be the case), but the 3D mode on this monitor looks terrible. I've tried Lies of P, Silent Hill 2, as well as 2d videos with the AI 3d conversion. The games have terrible ghosting, and it looks like the monitor drops down to 480p res once in 3d. I've confirmed it's running at 3840x2160, and I've tried reinstalling the 3d odyssey hub as well as updating firmware. I've tried the monitor on 2 different gaming machines (one with a 4070 ti, one with a 3080) same issue on both

This monitor is absolutely outstanding. The combination of 4K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate delivers ultra-smooth, razor-sharp visuals that look stunning in every scenario. The colors are rich and accurate, contrast is deep, and motion handling is buttery smooth - ideal for both gaming and everyday productivity. The 3D feature adds a whole new level of immersion, making this display truly unique. Its premium build quality and sleek design look fantastic on any desk setup. Without a doubt, this is one of the best monitors I've ever used. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking top-tier performance and exceptional image quality.

The tech is amazing and incredibly impressive - movies look great as well. My biggest hope is that they open-source the 3D effect to allow other games like Rocket League to take advantage of the effects. Also, hopefully we'll see an OLED version in the future :)

This is my second purchase of the odyssey g90xf. One overseas and one for the mainland. This monitor is amazing. This new technology is the wave of the future and hopefully will be the definitive gaming and movie experience as we head into the future. Now we just need this technology on larger screens and tv's. Thank you samsung. Looking forward to the consistently improving hub software with updates! Easy setup, easy 2d to 3d transition when going full screen. Amazing picture quality and a solid design.

The 3D effect is extremely cool and really does add another level of immersion. Samsung has been adding new games regularly though at the time the library is not the biggest. However, you can play many many more not directly supported games in 3D through community efforts. Downsides are the performance overhead, the resolution split between two eyes playing in 3d and some ghosting with light objects on dark backgrounds. But these all come with the technology. Overall if you have the wallet, and beefy setup to take advantage of this hardware I really recommend trying this monitor. It makes me never want to play a "flat" game again.
Big 3.

2025-09-28T20:00:00
Realized I ended up reviewing this on the wrong account. Overall, the 3D looks really really good, and it just pops. There's some minor caveats, with objects which are too close and also on the side of the screen. So the middle of the screen works perfectly fine, but side of the screen for very very close objects can only have one eye address that part of the image, making my eyes unfocused when that happens. Additionally, the HUD in Stellar Blade in particular looks off (and also like the interact symbols when talking to people), maybe cause it's not 3D or something, causing it to jut back in comparison to the actual images. Maybe it would be fixed if this was done in 3D? Not sure if it's a hardware or software limitation. The aiming marker when shooting is also kind of weird which makes the gun portions much harder. Finally, maybe some development of eye tracking (currently using face tracking) may be interesting since some background is very blurred when focusing on close objects (karakuri ending screen), but not sure if that would cause too much flickering or something. Overall though pretty revolutionary tech.

Love the monitor, the features are great 3d with out glasses is definitely amazing. I do wish samsung had better support for there software. They have no place to report software issues or crash reports. But I can't complain to much the experience when this thing works is out of this world.

I've had this monitor for a few days now and tested just about everything I could. It's been a long time since I've been this excited about a new piece of tech. When I first saw it, I didn't pay much attention. The price was high, the size was on the smaller side, and it's an IPS panel. I couldn't figure out why it cost so much and dismissed it as some boutique product that wasn't for me. When it went on sale for a deep discount, I decided to give it a closer look. I'm glad I did, because it's actually pretty awesome. No picture or video does the effect justice; you have to see it in person. On day one I tested it with a SBS 3D YouTube video, and within seconds I said "WOW!", laughed out loud, and even backed away from the screen as objects seemed to come flying out at me. 3D Blu-ray discs and other native 3D content are equally impressive. The officially supported games are also amazing, even though the list is still small. If you're technically inclined and have a high-end PC, you can get hundreds more titles working through third-party and open-source tools. The software does require patience. I've had to reboot, unplug and replug the USB cable, restart the app, relaunch a game multiple times, and adjust settings to get 3D to kick in. It isn't flawless. But it is improving: a new version dropped this weekend that nearly doubled the compatible games list and made things more reliable for me. So, is it worth the MSRP? At first I thought it was priced too high. After a few days, I can honestly say yes - it would've been worth it even at full price. This is the best 3D tech I've personally experienced. I hope adoption grows, because the more time I spend playing in 3D, the more it feels like this is how games were meant to be played.

This Samsung 3D monitor is awesome - the 3D effect works without glasses and really makes games and movies pop. The picture is super sharp, colors look great, and everything runs smooth with the high refresh rate. Even when I'm not using 3D, it's just a solid, premium monitor that's fun to use every day.

So just had it for an hour, just got it up and working and the 3d is really popping, which feels crazy. I guess there's still a limited support of some games, so I hope the software updates to keep up with the hardware, but this is some really cool tech. Some software QoL changes I would like however include: 1. Being able to keep this as a side monitor instead of main monitor 2. Apparently some people have had issues with the windows scaling? Checking this would be nice

$2,000. Yep, it's absolutely expensive. But I will not return this monitor. I am currently in love with it. Is it perfect, nope, will it get better, I hope so, am I surprised more people are not purchasing it.... yep! I would say this is the most mind-blowing piece of tech I've bought in the past 15 years. No lie! I just hope that Samsung commits to making the selection of media more widespread. The applications and games that work currently, I dig it. I really really dig this monitor. Ple...

Next-level 3D experience for gaming and beyond
By TechEnthusiastDave
I've been using the Odyssey 3D G90XF for a few weeks now and it's honestly a game-changer. The 4K resolution is stunning, the 165Hz refresh rate makes everything buttery smooth, but what really sets it apart is the glasses-free 3D. It's not a gimmick-depth feels natural, and eye tracking works so well that the 3D effect stays consistent as you move. Great for immersive single-player games, 3D content creation, and even watching movies. Setup was straightforward and build quality is solid. If ...
