Sea & Sea MDX-5D Mark III Version 2 Underwater Housing for Canon EOS 5D Mark III, 5Ds & 5DsR DSLR Cameras

The new MDX-5D Mark III ver. 2, for the Canon EOS 5D Mark III, has newly designed controls and is compatible with the Optical YS Converter.

• Equipped with two fiber-optic cable sockets
• Equipped with one N-type (2-pin) connector and one accessory port
• The port lock is accessible from the outside of the housing
• The multi selector has been positioned on the right side of the rear case making it easily accessible while holding the grip and operating the camera

• Three mounting screw holes are located in the bottom of the housing
• Equipped with the Optical Viewfinder 0.5x as standard. 0.66x and 0.8 may be used as an option
• Built-in leak sensor immediately alerts you to water ingress
• A depth rating of 100m / 330ft makes the housing ideal for tech diving

Optical YS Converter/C can be built into the housing
Compatible with new Optical YS Converter/C1 for MDX housing which converts the camera's TTL signal to a light signal. Both TTL and manual strobe photography is possible using a Fiber-Optic Cable II.

Compatible with both the VF180 1.2x and VF45 1.2x viewfinders
By attaching the VF180 (#46112) or the VF45 prism viewfinders (#46111) (magnification ratio of 1.2x) to the housing, the magnification increases by 1.2x and entire field of view can be seen at the same time. Recommended for users committed to strict composition and focusing.

Luminescence stickers
Major controls including levers and buttons will glow in dark environments.

Equipped with movable Focus/Zoom gear
When the focus/zoom dial is pulled out, the gear inside the housing will move outward allowing for lenses with large diameters to be easily mounted.

AF-ON lever lock system
In addition to the standard controls, the AF Start lever may also be used for focus lock. Utilize the Focus Lock feature to allows yourself to concentrate on releasing the shutter at that crucial moment.

Main dials are equipped with damper (spring)
The main dial, the quick control dial and diopter adjustment dial have a damper (spring) to provide secure operation. (Controls on the cameras will not slip because of the damper).

Adjustable shutter sensitivity
The shutter sensitivity can be adjusted by changing the location of the adjust plate.

Three ergonomically improved levers
A new design for the shutter lever, the AF mode lever, the AF-ON lever and the movie-record lever has improved the levers ergonomic shape.

Diopter adjustment dial
The camera's diopter adjustment dial can be operated from the housing.

Compatible Optical YS Converters
• The Optical YS Converter/C2 for MDX housings is compatible
• The Optical YS Converter/C1 for MDX housings can be made compatible by updating with the C2 firmware
