Very good choise, but need a drop of price
Very well packed, easy to install. Magician is somehow limited as application if we compare with other disk managers, but is doing a lot usefull. I think that a drop of price with 15-20% will reflect real value as purchased the SSD from a specialised store, not from Samsung site where prices are unafordable. So, the prodict is very good..

Great for gaming and editing
1st choice for anyone who wants both speed and storage muscle! The heatsink helps manage thermal throttling under sustained loads quite well, just ensure that you have adequate ventilation in your system. This is excellent for gamers as it delivers fast load times. Its also ideal for large storage for photo or video editing as the heatsink again keeps the card running cool = fast read/write speeds.

Works perfectly!
My ssd works perfectly and is more than fast enough gaming on my rog ally z1 although I wasn't able to use the heating due to space but that's no fault of samsung and its still doesn't overheat and thermal throttle in such anclosed tight space so I give it 5 stars

Fantastic Drive
?The Samsung 990 Pro 4TB is a powerhouse. My PC's performance is way better, very fast boot times, instant app launches, and shorter loading screens in games. With a huge 4TB capacity and cool operation, it's the ultimate upgrade. A perfect five-star drive.

The heat sink 990evo is for gaming!
My pc came with a crucial 1tb which I use fornjust windows. This evo990 i use for everything else especially gaming. There is nothing faster the noticeable difference when loading or writing via downloading is absolutely amazing! Don't buy something ok buy something amazing!

A great SSD for it's price!
I've had my 990 pro for a while now. These SSDs are pretty much the top of the food chain. There are others that are faster, yes, but they cost way more usually. These ones are also just really reliable. And it's more than enough speed to play any game you want, or download anything in general without a bottle neck. Plus they're also great for PS5s and Xbox as well. I use mine for my PC and it integrates nicely, doesn't overheat or have any major glitches. I've also never once got corrupted data either. Overall just a good SSD for the money.

A must if you only have 1tb storage or less.
Install was a breeze on my Samsung book 4 ultra... Well that was after multiple hiccups bc I'm not knowledgeable in this area lol ..
I highly recommend having the right tools to open up the back.. def get a tool set for laptops/electronics.. I struggled using the random tools I had around the house which weren't many bc I don't really do this type of thing but after this experience I'm definitely confident.
There are some reports saying that the drive firmware on some of these drives has caused devices to crash and that you need to update the ssd firmware first to avoid this. Based on My research.. this is old news as the latest and current firmware came out in 2024. I picked up my drive at best buy , the drive was manufactured in July 2025. Everything was fine.
For my device, honestly... I didn't notice too much of a speed difference since my OEM SSD has similar specs but this one definitely bring better. I thought it would help the boot up time but it didn't.. it only takes like 30 seconds but still..
I got 2 2tb drives to future proof my needs. I am putting my games on the second drive and everything else on the main drive.

Great product.
Great product. I purchased it for my Galaxy Book 3 Ultra and installed it a few months ago at the time of this review. I only give it a 4 star rating because I had games installed on it and it basically deleted them. I tried playing a game one day and it wouldn't load, so I tried to delete/uninstall the game, but it said, "file not found." I had to reset computer and check the storage content and it had reset all my installs, but thankfully these were all games I had little progress on and the progress was saved to the cloud, not device. I don't know if this was a problem with the card itself, or with windows. Other than that, I have had no problems with it. It runs super fast and has a lot of storage. No images can be displayed because it is in my laptop and not visible.
One thing I dislike about storage card is the fact that for every tb, they remove about 96gb for some reason that I do not remember. For instance, if you purchase a 1tb ssd, it will only show up as 931gb in the system files and settings. So the 4tb is actually 3.6tb, which is still a lot of storage, but not quite what I realized about storage devices. It was just a little disappointing to find that out.

Excellent value for the fastest 4TB Gen 4 SSD
I compared the 990 Pro 4TB with the latest 9100 Pro, and the 9100 Pro doesn't noticeably improve the random read performance. If you are looking for a fast 4TB drive, this is an excellent option.

Excellent storage for professional needs!
Excellent storage option for those with a need for speed! NVMe 4.0 makes a significant difference when transferring large files and video, etc. Can't beat the price point where performance is concerned!

Blazing fast and not nearly as expensive as SSDs used to be. I have Windows on one and Linux on the other. Both run exceptionally well, load files immediately, and boot games quickly.

Best SSD for PS5!
Installed one of these in my PS5 Pro and it works like a charm. The Read/Write speeds are off the charts and the included HeatSink keeps it nice & cool. Easily the best SSD I have ever purchased. I actually just ordered another one for my partner's PS5 as well!

Fast and Affordable
Samsung always delivers when it comes to hard drives. I got this drive 2 years ago, and have never had a single issue. Extremely fast write speeds, with no issues for install or maintenance.

Amazing SSD
One of, if not, the best SSD ive ever had honestly, the only thing i would say that is a negative is updating the firmware of the SSD can be a pain. But the speeds are great and it has NAND flash which is good when transfering large files so that the speed stays about 2GB p/s

Reliable - Period!
Popped this bad boy in my new PC build as an OS drive years ago. I have not had to touch it since then, and have had zero problems.
It just works, and continues to even after using the heck out of it. I've enabled/disabled full disk encryption as well as formatted it a few times since buying it (both for reasons unrelated to the drive), and it still runs just as fast as when i bought it. I consider it a no-brainer for anyone with an m.2 slot to fill it with an Evo.
