I bought this battery 6 months ago and used it about 3 times. Then it stopped charging. I use the official Samsung charger and cable and it never goes beyond turning on the first LED light, no matter how long you leave it plugged in. Strangely enough, it doesn't have a warranty, so I have a paperweight worth almost $200.

Just over a year old and used maybe 5 times. Now battery will not charge, light will only blink. I hoped they would stand behind an obviously faulty product that has the same problems that everyone has had, but I was told to "but a new one" after wasting an hour of texting and phone calls. You might as well light your 200 dollars on fire...you will get more enjoyment out of that than you will this battery.

I had the same issues with this product as other posters. I've been dealing with Samsung for months trying to resolve the issues I've had with this product. FYI, IT IS UNDER WARRANTY. have the warranty paperwork that came with the product that clearly states that it is covered for one year from date of purchase. Even with PROOF that it is under warranty Samsung will not comply with their legal obligation to fix, replace or issue a refund for this sub standard product. I've spend hours on the phone with multiple customer service agents, provided photos of serial/model #'s, proof of purchase, warranty, shipping label, etc. Samsung even had me send the product to their repair facility and they sent it right back to me with no information. I knew they would not be able to repair a battery bank but I thought, "I'll do what they ask then maybe they will finally do what any reputable retailer would do and replace the defective product or issue a refund." That obviously wasn't the case because Samsung sent the the product back without repairing it and then cancelled the ticket for the second time. The next customer service agent promised they would finally replace the product and then that ticket also got cancelled. I keep trying to get this resolved. Every time I have to explain the issue from the beginning and then in the end Samsung cancels the customer service ticket because their system can't recognize the serial number they printed on the device. Just today I spend an hour on the phone to find out why the latest promise to replace the item was cancelled. The agent said he could not help me, but could transfer me to the "projector dept". I asked for the phone number just in case and was told he couldn't provide that. When he transferred me the line went dead. No one called back despite the fact that I know they have my phone number because I receive several text messages after each call asking me to rate my experience. Being disconnected has happened numerous times over the past several months I've been dealing with Samsung Care. No one in customer service can help because they don't appear to have the authority to do the right thing. We've purchased THOUSANDS of dollars of products from Samsung and this will be the last.

Well, I have never written a negative review about a Samsung product...But here it is. After spending an hour on texting with a rep and no resolution, I called customer service about the freestyle battery that does not charge anymore after 2 uses!! I only use this unit for camping as the battery base makes the projector cordless and convenient, however we only camp a couple times a year and just recently tried to charge the battery to no avail. I googled the issue i was having and it is apparent that many many people have the very same problem with the battery base not charging within a very short time frame. My conversation with customer service via text and phone was another wasted time as well as a wasted 200.00. Not very happy when it appears to be a common problem and Samsung just says...."oh well" The negative reviews are on Best Buy, Target, etc. websites and are all the same issues. Very disappointed and please do not buy this accessory!

I bought this item September 2022 and it was great accessory for the Freestyle projector. It was also able to be used as a regular power bank to charge other thing. With new things it was used ofter but for the last 6 or 7 months, I have it in a storage bag along side the projector. Recently (October 2023), I decided to use it and the battery does not want to charge (only 0.3 watts, perhaps enough to just slowly flash the LED on the side). I called Samsung customer service support and after hold for 10-15 mins, they endorse that this product does NOT have a warranty. They casually offered to send a link for this product, if ever I decide to purchase this again. I highly doubt that I will buy this product. Off to the recycling center, I guess.

I used the battery base maybe 6 times within a year. The battery will not hold a charge. Based on all of the negative reviews, Samsung should recall this product and replace it with something that actually works.

Only used this a couple times. Moved and when I plugged it in it no longer charges. Talked to samsung who doesn't warranty a crap product.

Terrible product. Used is 3-4 times after purchasing in May, 2023, and now the projector won't turn on while using it. Just spent over an hour on the phone with customer service (including 4 department transfers) for them to say that it is not covered under warranty and to purchase a new one. BRICKED!!!!

the worst investment you can make! I bought this battery and charged it once and it never worked again. I tried contacting Samsung for a replacement and they generated a case number and never replace it so I lost $200.00

i use this battery like 4 times and suddenly stop working/charging, till this day under manufacturer warranty, i contacted them and after 3 hrs no one could help me. bad customer support. i do not recommend this product, don't waste your money like i did.

Had this product just under a year used it about five times and now it won't charge at all not very happy will be contacting trading Standards to see where I stand regarding this as this is not acceptable especially at the price I paid

Like many others, my battery no longer holds a charge as well. I used it for maybe 15-20 hours in the 11 months I had it before it stopped charging. It was great while it worked. Now people are saying its not even covered under warranty? That's a huge disappointment on Samsung's part. They let us down with this one. I expect the same copy and paste troubleshoot instructions response below...

Same as every low rating here. Worked fine (~2.5 hours) for a few months and now it just completely stopped charging. Contacted support, they 'escalated' it a number of weeks ago and nothing has been heard.

This battery stopped working for me as well! Not sure how they can have so many people with issues and not help them. Been trying to get this replaced for months now. Latest update is that the replacement was canceled and that my ticket has been escalated.

I've had no issues with this thing, from buying to setting up; it was perfectly uneventful! That is how I prefer setting things up, so A+ on that front. I recommend. There isn't much else to say; it's working great!

I Bought this in July. I used it once, maybe twice a week. Stopped holding a charge last month. I now have a $200 paper weight. It's clear from these reviews this is faulty product but Samsung won't do anything to make this right. So disappointed in this company.

the freestyle batter was amazing for the first 24 hours it worked. stopped charging after that. i plan on trying it one more time since i love my freestyle projector. fingers crossed.
