Best binoculars for surveillance!!!
I have the P1050 model. I love them. I am very familiar with the Steiner brand of binoculars from my military days (MM10x50); I can say that this model is just as ever rugged and very exact and clear. It takes a beating (have not dropped this one yet!), but the armor around it makes it feel perfect in your hands. For my job, I can see very crisp and focused views of people and license plates from a long distance... and the the subdued gray color just looks awesome.
