Fairly light, durable, and I appreciate the rubber lens covers. I'm happy with the easy focusing adjustments. In my opinion, the glass is good to very good in quality (about right for binoculars in this price range, but not better). It takes me an extra half second or so to adjust my eyes to the glass. I'm generally happy with these, but may have picked a different make or model if I were able to try several firsthand.

I have several binoculars and this is probably the best well-made binocular with superior optics. However, this model is discontinued but nothing to worry about since the sale price was a steal. The Steiner binocular came with a nice nylon case, strap, micro fiber lens cleaner, front and bottom lens cover.

I was very impressed with the clarity in the depth of field. Being a hunter the build quality of these binoculars is outstanding. Some may think these binoculars are a little heavy but you know they will stand up to extreme conditions . These binoculars exceed my needs, very happy with them.

Same Steiner quality. Lightweight snd rugged. Coating is non-slip snd appreciated. Clear optics. Sealed to stop fogging.

I purchased these binoculars on sale thinking German made glass must be good . I honestly would not trade my Celestron nature dx for the Steiner predator. The build quality is good but the optics are not . The 100$ Celestine are as good or better at everything. I will be returning the Steiner

I was able to purchase last year's model of the Steiner Predator 10X42s and I couldn't be happier with this value-priced optic. I actually recommended these binoculars to a friend. And he, too, was very impressed with their performance.

The optics are stellar and so is the housing and the focusing. I would rate it 5 stars for that alone. However, my only issue is how the neck strap attaches to the binoculars so once you snap them in, there is no way to unattach them without a hard yank and possibly breaking the cheap plastic attachments. For binoculars that cost more than $300.00, the amount of thought in using cheap plastic attachments really makes me think twice about buying other Steiner products which brings my overall rating to 3 out of 5 stars.

I purchased the Predator 8x42 a month ago for turkey season. This glass is unbelievably clear, the focus is quick and efficient and the eye relief covers help shield peripheral vision to darken the eyepiece and provide better clarity. I still have to apply my CAT crap coating, applied every few days, due to fogging on the outside eye lenses. So for anybody that puts out a good amount of heat (which is me), the lenses tend to fog. This is no different for my Leoupold, Swarovski and other quality glass. The illumination under extremely lowlight is unbelievable also. For the price, at this point, I put Steiner up there with my Leopoldo and Swarovski optics/glass. We will see how they hold up and if any issues arise, hopefully Steiner will provide that world class service expected in this price range. No reason to doubt they wont from my research. I would definitely recommend at this price point and will be purchasing future optics from Steiner as well.

These are high end binoculars and the price reflects that. I chose the predictor 10x42 for bird watching and general viewing because in an side by side tests with other good quality binoculars, they were brighter and focused sharper.

I’ve hunted with these binoculars and I also have a pair of Leupold bx-4 hd binoculars. The Leupold binoculars have a great field of view but in my opinion the Steiner predator beats the Leupold slightly. The armour coating is a great addition on the binoculars gives them a great feel in your hand. The only issue I had with them was one of the lens covers would not snap in all the way other than that I would recommend these binoculars.

I've already had them in the woods scouting for deer and they exceed expectations. Clear crisp views, you can virtually see into dark spots in the woods.

I called up due to a failure on a predator series binocular. I was told there would be a 70.00 fee!!! Then when I asked to speak to management, I was told that person was on vacation. I was told that no one else was available to speak to me. Do to this interaction, I will never purchase another Steiner product again! I am a 17 year veteran and on a very limited income. As well as currently I am under treatment for Pancreatic Cancer. I will send my information to my VA representatives as well as the wounded Warrior project

I have used expensive Leica binocs for 20yrs. Decided to get a new set. These Steiner are great! Image is Crystal clear even out to the edge of the lens. Feel very rugged. Can’t wait for elk season!

I've had these Binoculars for three months and I'm completely satisfied with them. Like the feature that let you use prescription glasses saves having to adjust them when sharing them between my wife and I. Had one of the front cover break off one call to Steiner and without question they sent replacement free of charge.

I spent a lot of time reviewing binoculars on line and was not impressed with the private label binoculars made in the PRC. Checking them out in the stores I found most did not work well for me as an eyeglass wearer due to short eye relief. I found the Steiner Predators in 10x42 worked well for me.

I got my Steiner’s in a gun trade. I don’t know if the guy knew what he had or what. But I ask him several times is this what he wanted to do. He said yes. I have had several pairs of binoculars even night sites. But all those combined can not hold an iron to the fire with what I got!!! My Steiner's are off the chain!!!!!!!!!

I have owned a few binoculars from other manufacturers over the years .. none of them come close to matching the quality of these Predators 10X42s .. the only thing missing is a way to mount them to a tripod .. but that’s a minor issue ..

These bino's are very clear and easy to adjust. I however wear glasses and wish the raised rubber on the sides of the eye cup were not there or easily removed (not cut off)

Two family members have Steiner binos so when it came time for me to upgrade it was a no brainer. Quality craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout. Rugged design that can take anything you throw at them. I look forward to using this pair for the next 10 years.

I bought late 2018 and the quality and clarity were great. Had a good soaking during duck season and fogged up inside the glass. I was not aware of the warranty and looked online. Filled out the form and returned. They will repair or replace. They have them now. Feeling good about company standing behind their products.

I attended a birding seminar and it was suggested I purchase 8x42 optics. I found that Steiner optics had excellent reviews so I purchased the Predator 8X42. What a difference in clarity and ease of focus.
