Don't waist your money
No way I would recommend this to a friend. Mine has dirt and scratches under the paint that is pretty noticeable and when I got in touch with someone they say it's odd but it cosmetic so nothing will be done.

Wanted to Like It
I really wanted to like this optic but I have to say this was a waste of money. Having multiple dot options and it using standard batteries caused me to buy this optic. I heard complaints about dot brightness but the brightness was fine.
The red dot is not a dot anymore but an L shaped blob. It was fine out of the box but it was dropped a couple of times and now I don?t have a red dot. I should have went with the Aimpoint. I have used Steiner lasers in the Army and those things are indestructible. However, this was just a dud.

Best CQB sight out there
I just recently purchased this sight, and I must say I absolutely love it. The field of view is bigger and better than any Eotech I have. I have approx. 500 rounds on it and have not had one issue. Great Job Steiner !!

Duty Rifle Choice

Failed after 31 rounds.
I bought this sight and mounted it to my rifle. A few days later I took it to a place I could zero it. I got it zeroed in about 20 rounds it was super easy and I loved the sight. I emptied the remaining 10 rounds into the target with a great grouping and put the rifle away. The very next day I got the opportunity to shoot again and got to my location took my rifle out of my bag loaded it up turned the sight on and sent a round down range and the sight turned off. I tried turning it back on and nothing happened, I went to take the batteries out and noticed the sight housing was hot. When I took the batteries out one was extremely hot it burned my hand. I replaced both the batteries and the sight still did not turn on and once again got hot. I took out the one battery that was getting hot and the sight worked again and I was able to shoot for the rest of the day using one battery. But I didn?t not like how quickly it failed so I sent it back to where I got it and ordered an eotech to replace it.
