USB 2.0 Speed!!!!

I had this thing hooked up to my PS5 and really didn't notice the speed issues until I tried transferring a file (36GB) at ~55MB/s (480Mb/s)!!!!! Took over an hour. Replaced it with a different one that was truly USB 3.0/3.1 and it was light years faster. Don't BUY!!!!

driving me crazy

I bought two of these. One of them works flawlessly as soon as attached. the other one doesn't and gives driver errors (device manager- windows 10) . when plugged to another PC they both work fine. If one cable works and the other doesn't you would suspect physical problem with one of the cables, but i am getting driver error, and they both work elsewhere, wasted a lot of time with this and i am lost.

Does not work with brand new Apple Mac Mini M2 Pro

Just purchased one of these on Amazon this week. Does not work with a brand new Apple Mac Mini M2 Pro. I have an older StarTech USB-A variant of this same adapter, and if I plug it in through a USB hub to the same Mac Mini M2 Pro, the same drive pops right up. Will be returning this USB-C one to Amazon this week, unfortunately.

USB31CSAT3CB USB C to SATA adapter

I have been using StarTech USB 3 to SATA adapter cables for quite a few years without any issues whatsoever. My most recent purchase was the USB 3.1 (10 Gbps) SATA to USB C version. For large files, the copy speeds are in the range of 300-400 Mbps, which is excellent. The USB 3 to SATA adapter cables are very handy for adding an external SSD to a laptop with a very small footprint.

Doesn't Connect

Was told this was plug and play. I have a 2019 Mac, and it can't find the drive adapter anywhere. I'm connected to a WD 500 GB SATA SD from my Atomos Ninja 5. Was so looking forward to pulling 4k 10 bit footage from my Ninja, but this device doesn't get the job done.

Impressive adapter

I was looking for an alternative way to retrieve my old files from my old hard drive which had a bad sector, but I wanted to personally transfer the files I needed myself. Then, I stumbled on this product for the first time, read reviews till I decided to purchase this and I was not disappointed in fact, was more than happy that this adapter fit my checklist and solved my worries.
