The EPCOAX consists of a transmitting IPC (IP Camera) unit and receiving SV (Server) unit, which is usable in the supplied pairs or in a multiple IPC to single SV setup. (Additional IPC units sold separately). These units are designed to utilize coaxial or similar cable to transfer Ethernet signals and power over a much longer distance than Cat5 cable can. This makes this unit ideal for both long runs and for retrofit applications.
