A solution for Home Office

I bought this yesterday to allow me to switch a poawerd USB hub hosting 4 displays, a keyboard and Mouse and a Webcam between my personal laptop and my organisation work laptop. I used to have to unplug USB from one and plug in the other to switch computer, but now I can, with the push of a button, switch easily and without wear and tear to the USB Ports. This was easy to install, and worked first time straight out of the box.

Works but reliability not great

I bought one of these 5 years ago to use in a rack mount with 3 Mac servers, an Apple wired keyboard and LG and Dell 1920x1080 monitors (one at a time - unit does not support dual monitors, Dell monitor replaced a failing LG). I would probably have given this item 5 stars if not for questionable reliability. Out of the box one of the USB ports did not work but otherwise it worked as advertised. As I only needed 3 ports I did not bother with a Warranty claim. Set up was quick and easy (plug and play with no driver installation or configuration. 5 years later a second USB port failed. I've purchased a second unit and will be adding a 4th (Windoze) server to the setup. Hopefully reliability of the second unit will be better.
