The included termination Block isnt great, has a hard time turning down onto thin wires and screws strip easily.

I develop medium and high volume industrial test equipment for a living. I have used these specific modules for years and have never been disappointed. I use all the modes, RS232. 422, and 485. Never had a problem, or funny behavior. No dropped data, no corrupt data, no framing errors, etc. they just work. I use them directly through programs like teraterm, and through NIs Labview/TestStand. This is my 'go to' adapter

I used this device in combination with a Modbus simulation program with success setting up serial communication between devices. Trouble free driver install on a Windows 7 laptop and straightforward directions setting up the serial protocol (my case RS 485)
