So far as performance goes this works perfectly, but I wasn't sure if it would work at all after installing it in some trunking and the cover for the mid-cable in-line booster circuit falling off! Fortunately this seems to be press-fit only (no glue on my example) so it went back together okay and it seems to work as well as a normal local 4-way hub. One issue I do have, is about the design and having to use a mains-powered adapter at the 4-way hub end if you want to power anything other than a keyboard and mouse. Why on earth can't this plug in at the other end, either with a short M-F USB adapter with a power socket in it, or a permanent flying-lead with a power socket on the end? It would make it a lot more practical and mean that you aren't tied to within a couple of feet of a mains socket or having to resort to extending the power supply cables. A lost opportunity!
