Did display both screens and laptop but no sound on zoom call, tried changing settings and still did not work.

I used it to connect 2 monitors from the laptop. It works, but sometimes the laptop screen goes off. Once disconnecting it, then the laptop screen comes back. I've confirmed the most updated driver is installed, even re-installed the whole computer with the most Windows 11 update, but it still goes off sometimes.

After 2 months trial this the only part work with me lenovo ideapad gaming 3, I add the part to the usb but it didn't work then I got o the website download and install the drive then restart and every thing work very fine. Highly recommended.

I've had this for a bit with minimal issues besides not putting out the correct audio. I have both my laptop and this device as default for sound, but this device doesn't play the sounds, only my laptop. I have tried switching settings to fix it, but it doesn't work. Now, when I am running multiple applications, I have 3 screens, it flickers and freezes my entire set up. This happens at least every half hour. For the price of this device, I shouldn't be having issues.

I've been struggling with this adaptor's use of Windows resources. With dual screen you can see your Window's driver foundation CPU usage jump to 100% depending on the application you are using - or becoming unusable!

My laptop has HDMI output and could not find a splitter to extend to two monitors. I called StarTech support and this gentleman (Harish) guided me to the right product after some technical questions. AND, now not even using the HDMI just one of the USB ports! Very clear communications with these guys.

Bought this about 90 days ago, using with a Windows Surface 3 Pro, Hub and 2 monitors. I dont' know if the draw from the monitors is too much, but whenever I'm on a video call (Teams, Ring Central, Zoom, doesn't matter) it will freeze every 10-15 min and I have to unplug the adapter to unfreeze.

I needed something that would allow me to connect an additional monitor to my Lenovo Ideapad 530S. It has an existing HDMI port but I needed two external monitors. This little device did the trick! It installed flawlessly and the additional monitor was recognized with no issues what so ever. Great product, fair price. Would purchase again in a heartbeat. Kudos to Startech support that assisted me with the product selection. The tech was very knowledgeable and pointed me in the right direction. Use Case: This is for my wife's computer and she just needed additional real estate for desktop applications (word processing, browsing, zoom meetings, etc.) She's not a gamer or streamer so I can't attest to the performance if put under heavy load.

I am using this for work and it is great. I tried to hook it up to my MacBook at home but it is not supported. It would be great if a driver exists for Mac to solve this issue

Really useful gadget - note also supports true 2K at 2560 x 1440. Have used for allowing staff to try higher res' screens on older pcs and laptops that do not support graphics over 1920 x 1080

Great unit, worked as described. like the small size, easy to hide in my work space to run 2 monitors off of my lap top when working at home. would give 5 stars if it also worked for my MacBook.

Purchased this to add a second monitor to my HP Envy All-In-One system. I use this computer for work at home and needed another display. Setup was easy. The only variation from the directions was related to the USB Video Adapter Icon. I do not have an icon displayed on my System Tray. I viewed Devices, right-clicked the monitor, and edited the settings. Was able to switch the monitor order as desired. Everything is working as expected.

This adaptor is an awesome plug and play, very easy to setup under Windows 10 and I use it for demo presentations when I'm on the road to visit prospective clients. The quality of the image is great and I didn't experience any freezing or delays. The adaptor itself comes in a small box and fits on my ultrabook bag. The instructions are well explained but I doubt you will need it. I haven't tried it on a MAC but for Windows users, it is a GO! "I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review"

I have used this USB to HDMI adaptor with several computers and it always connects and works well. The adaptor comes in a box about the size of three DVD cases. The adaptor's size is slightly smaller than the palm of my hand. The cable coming out is about a foot long and very flexible. It comes with instructions but I don't think they are needed as you just have to plug it in to start using it. When I connect this device to a new computer it takes about 30 seconds to detect, install and start working. Future connections only take seconds before it is working. The response time is very quick for the display and I can't notice any lagging. Only one port works with 4K, but I can use both ports with 1080p displays. I like the fact that I can connect this to any computer and I don't have to worry about what type of video out port the computer has. This adaptor works consistently well and quickly. This adapter is great for connecting to 2 HDMI monitors. One in 4K HDMI and one HDMI (it’s hard to see, but it’s identified under each port) The adapter installs on its own (Win10) and works perfectly each time. Wow! No external power source required when I connect two HDMI displays through a single USB port on my laptop. This is amazing! The picture quality is great and does not take up too much room in my bag when I am on the road. This is fantastic for the mobile worker or for sales presentations. Installation of this was so easy. Plugged it in and Windows 10 did its thing and instantly installed the video and audio driver for this device and voila it was up on the screen. Startech gives you instructions for getting this device to work but I did not need them, it just worked. The image quality was good and there was no latency issued that I experienced for basic work. Great little product !
