I needed something fast and inexpensive but able to be rugged enough to last at least a few months until I could upgrade. When I saw this price and then that the legs moved independently as well as a ball head was included, how could I not give it a try? I expected so much less. I was actually impressed when I opened the box and set everything up. Upgrading my tripod is now at the bottom of my to-do list. This is more than fine for everything I shoot.

Makes a good hiking tripod. It's lightweight without beeing flimsy. The ballhead works well and muli-position legs are usefull. The case is too short to zip up all the way. I use it for nature shots, sunsets and the like with my Rebel xt and shorter lenses. Long lenses and exposure times might be a little to much however. Then I use my Sunpak 7500tm I could park my jeep on that one.

This is a good low cost tripod. Light weight, easy to extend the legs. The ball head locks down with one twist and moves only a fraction after lock down. The ball head holds my Canon 20D with Canon 100-400 L lens with no problem. No quick release plate but the way the the head is designed, it is very easy to mount/unmount camera. I would recommend this tripod to amateur and wildlife photographers.
