The issues I have are 1. The mounting plate on the camera doesn't stay tight. 2. It doesn't allow you to tip the camera all the way down unless you use it backwards which is uncomfortable. Other than these 2 things, it works well, holds its position well & is easy to put camera on & off.

This ball head is easy to use and allows the user to release and lock with one hand on the pistol grip. It will hold a full size SLR camera and lens in position without drift. With a little practice you can squeeze the lever to release the ball head and not have a sudden movement of the camera. The slot on the side allows the ball head to rotate 90 degrees for vertical orientation of the camera (portrait orientation). The quick release plate attaches to the camera with a screw connector, and it has a fold over 'wing' that is used to tighten or loosen the screw. It can be difficult to get the 'wing' piece to unfold to the tighten/loosen position because the space under the plate is tight. Fairly minor issue, but could be better. The grip I received did not have all of the levels shown in the photograph, just the round bubble level on the top of the pistol grip. This is not a major issue for my use, but the product should match the image shown. Overall, I recommend this pistol grip head as a good value.

Does the job - light and sturdy. Holds a Nikon D750 and a large zoom lens easily.
