If You Need It to Be Cheap

If your good flash dies and you have to have a flash that's cheap to replace it until you can save up for a good flash: The Sunpak is your Huckleberry! It'll work for about a year providing you with adequate bounce flash. Don't throw away your defuser cap from your "good flash", the Sunpak doesn't come with one and the light comes out straight and harsh with very little defusion. And for that one year it will be reliable, but better be saving for a good quality flash, 'cause this one is gonna die.

Flash or flashlight

This is not the flash for me. The light is not diffused enough for taking indoor group shots. Once I turn the flash to bounce the light off something the light falls off drastically and though it seems to be made well enough quality wise, it just does not meet my needs.
