This quick release plate fits on the Nikon DF-GR1 accessory grip, at just the limit of screw hole slot. Since the DF-GR1 has an odd tripod screw hole location, not many quick release plates fit well with it— many overhang the edge of the accessory grip, which is effectively now part of the camera body. This means, for those quick release plates, they look odd or doesn’t ergonomically flow well with the rest of the Df camera.

Unfortunately though, the quick release plate must be oriented in “reverse” direction for it to fit on the DF-GR1. This means, the strap loop is facing towards the left side of the camera, rather than the right, as intended. Because there’s not really any other quick release plate that I could find that will fit within the footprint of the DF-GR1, at any price, this is the best quick release plate for it possible!

Also, the plate is still small enough that the safety stop screws are useless as many Arca Swiss clamps are too large to be able to take advantage of the safety stop screws. Most smaller clamps are only 8mm (5/16”) smaller than this quick release plate usually, meaning the edge of the clamp sit on top of the safety stop screws— making them unusable!
