Provides so much more stability than the plate I was previously using! Fits my Nikon D700 well without having trouble accessing my battery and camera card.

It does what it is supposed to - provide a more balanced portrait-mode mount on the tripod. I use a Sigma SD Quattro camera, often with a Sigma 18-35mm lens, which is full-size and fairly heavy, and the bracket handles it well.

I use it on a 6D - it does block some connections but I don’t use those anyway... it doesn’t block the battery which is great. Overall very well made.

SUNWAYFOTO DPL-06R universal L bracket, one piece CNC cutting machined from light weight aircraft-grade aluminum, stain anodized surface finish for better abrasion and corrosion resistant. Arca-Swiss style. Ideal for a variety of traditional 135/120 SLR film cameras and digital SLR cameras without remote cable.
Arca-Type and RRS Lever Compatible
Machined From Aircraft-Grade Aluminum
Corrosion-Resistant Anodized Surface
Easy Horizontal & Vertical Switching
Maintain Camera's Center of Gravity
Sturdier Portrait Orientation
Use Vertical End as Quick Release Plate
Using an L bracket can maximize the stability and efficiency of using the camera on the ball head when switching the horizontal and vertical composition. Can completely eliminates the common gross positioning shifts in changing the horizontal composition to vertical composition, and the depth of the scenes capturing in horizontal aspect will not be effected when changing the composition.
