Provides so much more stability than the plate I was previously using! Fits my Nikon D700 well without having trouble accessing my battery and camera card.
Hard to beat for the price
It does what it is supposed to - provide a more balanced portrait-mode mount on the tripod. I use a Sigma SD Quattro camera, often with a Sigma 18-35mm lens, which is full-size and fairly heavy, and the bracket handles it well.
