Perfect for me. I got this to replace the original declination plate for my star tracker. This not only solved the clearness issue I initially had, this is an upgrade in every way. The fluid pano is perfect for corse adjustments while finding what you want to photograph, the geared head great for fin adjustment. I would recommend this for anyone with a sky guider pro.

Absolutely Perfect

This is a great panning clamp! You can lock it down and still pan whatever is clamped by turning the big knob.

Great clamp

I bought this from Adorama on eBay.  For some reason it was in stock on eBay but out of stock here.  Unlike many of my other SunwayFoto items, the quality control on this clamp is awful.  The adjustment of the clamp is crazy tight.  In addition, the geared mechanism has an enormous amount of play.  It certainly isn't beneficial for minor adjustments in macro photography, which is what I bought it for.  I have played with another sample of this clamp, that belonged to a friend.  It was properly adjusted and worked fine.  So I likely have a bad sample of this product.

Really stiff with a lot of play in the mechanics

I use it with a Arca Swiss D4 geared head. The D4 only has geared heading and tilting. Adding panning completes the package. No wonder Arca Swiss is bringing their D4 with geared panning. But this can be used on any Arca Swiss clamp heads. Note: it includes an adapter plate to mount on an Arca Swiss clamp.
