Recently purchased this to go with my Cobra C180 monopod. My travel tripod is the Peak Designs tripod, so I want to use the Peak Design mounting plate with the monopod. Since the Peak Designs plate is compatible with Arca Swiss plates, this works perfectly. The combination is convenient and light weight. It isn't a perfect replacement for a pan/tilt head, but it is an inexpensive and light way to do 90% of what I would do with that head, especially for pictures. For video, especially using the monopod fully extended, a good pan/tilt head is still needed.

Glad to switch out the proprietary Manfotto plates for more generic Arca type. Simpler and easier. Very quick installation process on my ball heads. Highly recommended.

Fit and finish of the clamp is very good. Haven't had long enough to comment on durability. The clamp locks the base plate securely and hasn't loosened during use so far. About the only gripe is the bubble level. In order to see, need to place the lock screw under the lens barrel and difficult to get at. Gave up and turned it so the lock is at the back. Bought for ARCA base plates and not level. Great at the price so far.

Really great machinery! Got this to replace my Manfrotto 200PL quick release plate on my ball head, and now I'm able to use my Arca Swiss attached L Bracket AND my original Manfrotto 200PL quick release attachment. Brilliant! Quality product and very solid from Sunwayfoto! Love that it comes in a nice pouch also. FYI, you can screw in the original detaching quick release plate to the bottom of this plate if you don't want to completely replace your Manfrotto plate on your ball head. However, when tightening the clamp from this plate to secure your Arca Swiss attachment you'll have to have the clamp screw on the lens side of the plates, and it will slightly rub on your original Manfrotto plate when almost completely tightened. However, it does work, and it doesn't damage anything. If you want to replace your Manfrotto plate and use this plate only on your X Pro BHQ2 ball head you'll need to order this plate with the added accessory that has a "male" groove in it to fit into the piping of the Manfrotto ball head.

Great clamp. Use it for the Matterport Pro 2. Easy on, easy off. Use on Manfrotto tripod. Would recommend.

It cannot connect with some Manfrotto Ball Head. For example the Manfrotto 496RC2 Compact Ball Head. It needs Tripod Head Female Male Clamp/Adapter.

I purchased this clamp to attach to the top of a compound macro focus rail I machined. The quality of the clamp is high and it holds the camera and lens securely. I am going to purchase a few more for other projects along with some bases.

I wanted an Arca Swiss style quick connect for my monopod. I don't use it very often, but I still needed it to work. This works perfectly for my needs. The center screw hole is threaded, it comes with a bushing to reduce that thread, and it comes with a screw that I could have used to attach it to something else. They even provide the Allen wrench for the screw that was provided.
