Looks like a quality product however I did not use it because it has 1/4-20 female socket and my tripod has 3/8-16.

This Sunwayfoto ball head is an inexpensive knock-off of the Really Right Stuff BPC-16 that Adorama offers here: https://www.adorama.com/rrsbpc16.html I suppose that the more expensive product is better, so the question is whether or not the cheaper ball head is good enough. If you test ball heads by pressing down on the lens while the head is tightened, you won't like the Sunwayfoto; the RRS product apparently locks down more tightly. Neither ball head will give you the smooth action or easy, almost hands-off, sag-free adjustability of much larger and more expensive ball heads. The Sunwayfoto ball head holds my Sony A7R III with the lenses I use (up to 85mm) while hiking. It's light, small, and inexpensive. Because its panorama platform is at the top, it is more useful than if it was, as on most other ball heads, at the bottom.

I am using this on a very small Sunpack carbon fiber tripod for panoramas. The ball head does not move as you close the clamp, making it easy to set with the built in bubble level. I use this with my iPhone, Sony RX100 and Panasonic LX100. They all have built in panorama sweep stitching, so no need for indexed click stops. This makes for a very compact rig. I use a Nodal Ninja on a larger tripod for indexed stitching with my Olympus MFT and fisheye lens.
