robert n : Does this fit Nikon D810?VINCENT V : I can't say whether the PN-D800R will fit on a D810 body, because I do not have a D810. I have a D800. I can tell you that according to the Sunwayfoto website it says the PN-D800R fits the Nikon D800/D800E cameras without the battery grip. There is no mention of the PN-D800R fitting on a D810 camera. What also is puzzling is that they do not list a QR Plate for the D810 or the D850 on their website either. They do have a PNL-D800R "L" Bracket for the D800/D800E listed though. Sorry I can't give you a definite answer to your question.

Fit & function are near perfect

This is small, light, and well made. It fits like a custom made glove. I prefer it much more than the rrs plate that I have for my D810. I wish they made/imported them for the D810.

Does what it is supposed to do

The SunwayFoto Quick Release plate for the Nikon D800/800E is a quality item that does what it designed to do. What I like about this Quick Release Plate is that it not only is made to fit the back of the camera body, but also is raised on the front part of the plate and fits the camera flush there as well, unlike some of the other brands of Quick Release Plates that cost twice as much. The SunwayFoto plate is well built and Precision CNC machined from solid anodized aircraft-grade aluminum.
