Great ball head
I managed to drop my tripod, and that broke off the pan knob on my previous ball head. I bought it again because it's a good and sturdy ball head at a reasonable price. The new ball head seems to have improved on some of the minor annoyances the old one had. Compared to the old one, this also has the panning head. I have used this with my Wimberley Sidekick and it is sturdy enough for that kind of use as well.
The SunwayFoto XB-52 52mm (2.04") Superior Low-Profile Ballhead is the larger of two Ballheads in the XB line of low profile Ballheads. It features a very low center of gravity, very high load capacity (132.2 lbs) and improved Ballhead design for smoother movements when changing position. It includes the two-drop-notch design for camera orientation and rubber has been abolished completely--all knobs are now all-metal on the XB-52.
