Janet R : How do you get the center tube to telescope back down. I got it up and now it won't go back all the way for compact carrying? Please help! I borrowed the tripod and hopefully won't need to replace it! JRSAPAN M : Hi Janet, I do not have any issue like your's, guess you have to be little carefull while sliding back the monopod in to the center tube since gap between these two is very thin. i.e in technical term they are snug fit. Hope this will resolve your problem.. ThanksBARBARA M : Hi Janet, You turn the 4 sided (star like) screw head so that it loosens the shaft. It should easily slide down, but make sure the the large handle on the swivel head is between the two legs that have nothing between them, then tighten the 4 sided screw head to secure. There is only one set of legs that the handle can fit in. The others have the 4 sided screw and the silver ring. Hope this helps.ROBERT Q : You have to loosen the knob that you used to raise it up to lower it.STEPHEN R : The center tube can be expanded as a monopole. if this part is expanded, grasp the top section in your left hand and twist the next section counter clockwise. (and repeat for any sections still expanded. If the monopole is completely collapsed and still will not seat into the tripod completely, ensure the knob on the side is unscrewed enough to let the pole pass. If both of these are not the issue, look in the tripods center "pipe" and make sure nothing is blocking the path. There should be nothing in there (you can see all the way through).

could be great, strong sturdy and veritable. love the monopod. only one problem, the locking lever on the quick release has too much slack. will not hold the quick release plate securely.

disappointed in dixie

quick release plate and locking lever base has i/8 inch gap when supporting nikon d7100 with 18-300mm lens. locking lever has excessive play and back of qr plate pulls out of base. adorama servie is excellent the best
