High hopes dashed!

Having another 40mm ball head from Sunway, I was enthusiatic about ordering a smaller version for my travel/backpacking tripod. Unfortunately, it didn't pan out. The Sunway high quality build was apparent. But tow issues forced me to return it. First, as the ball traveled towards the 90 degree, it seemed to offer more resistance...something that's not exhibited with current 40mm head. Second, the ball "tension" adjustment seemed to have little effect, if any, to movement resistance. This item came close to being a keeper.
