Very nice product for lightweight camera

This ball head is well-made, fairly stable and easy to work with. Perfect for a 35mm or a light-weight medium format camera (probably works great with most DSLRs ). I didn't have success with it using a medium format camera with a heavy lens and certainly wouldn't try it with even a lightweight field camera. It advertises 18# maximum - but that's not realistic. Excellent product as long as you keep expectations in check.

Very Good Product

What used to fit the Manfrotto 785B, stability is very good, loads a Canon 7D with 17-40mm lens and flash, is very stable. I recommend this purchase.

Good solid head

The range of motion is great with this head. Very strong construction although a little heavy but its the price you have to pay for quality. Not unexpected it was priced as other's in this class.

Good product? not perfect though

I have been using a Smith Victor BH2 for a two weeks and I tried still life, portraiture and landscape. It is a quit little thing which now attaching to my compact tripod all the time now. However like anything in photog world,it is not flawless. Some coating on a adjustment screw is breaking off and the quick release system does not match Arch Swiss plate. Plus like most ball heads, still life is not its specialist. After all, if you are trying to get a tripod head for travel or portraiture, go grab one of this.

Holds a 7D just fine

It's small so you can take it w/you for longer trips/hikes. It takes less room. Easily fits in my Alta 264at's bag (highly recommend it btw) Rated to 18 lbs which is more than enough for an average dslr w/an average lens. Check your cam and lens weight but my 7D and 15-85mm isn't even half of the head's limit. I tried with the 70-300IS too and so far so good and the cherry on top is the price... It's a great value. If you don't mind the more weight get the BH5 or BH8.

Good Value

This ball head is a good head for the price. While it is not as sturdy or smooth as a $200 unit, it is worth every cent you pay.
