good color, pretty bright. fan can be heard, but not terrible at all. 60 watt bulb was received even though 45 watt was ordered.

Purchased to replace tungsten bulbs in my older Smith-Victor lights. So far - working as good or better than I had hoped. White balance as-shot is coming in between 5,000 and 5,500 K depending on the shot. Bulbs don't get noticeably hot, and I can leave lights on for longer period of time to stage photo and adjust shadows, etc. Able to soften with light-modifiers. Hopefully they last as many hours as advertised, but only time will tell. My older S-V lights lifetime just got extended!

I am using these lamps for stills photography. They are amazing. The only complaints you read are about fan noise which isn't an issue for me. We built a bank of 18 lights. It covers a very wide HFOV and is as bright as I need. For photos - hell yes For video w/ sound...maybe not.
