Went from a crappy 4 wireless camera system to the Swann 8 camera wired system. No complaints so far. Set up was as simple as stated. Picture is crisp and clear. PIR easy to set up and works great, just a couple small glitches but that can be expected

Someone tried to steal my car last month, so I decided to buy this surveillance system. It's been pretty easy to set up. I haven't put up all the cameras yet, but the ones that are up are functioning well. I work in security, and this system is very similar to the one at my work, so I'm pretty happy about that. It felt very familiar the moment I started using it. Unfortunately, I've been having problems with the Android app. I have to open it about a dozen times before it actually connects, although it might be user error. There are a couple things I still want to try. The iPad app works flawlessly though, so if I can't get the Android app to work, I may just switch to an iPhone since I've been considering getting one anyway. One feature I'd like too see in the app is an audible alarm for specific cameras that's loud enough to wake me up. The person that tried to steal my car did so while I was asleep, and my garage is a separate building. But I've already added door sensors and motion sensors in my garage that are connected to a very loud alarm that's right next to my bed, so I found a simple workaround. The thing I like most about this surveillance system is that insects don't trigger the camera motion detection very often, if at all. I have cameras from another company where insects set off the motion detection about every 5 seconds making the motion detection pretty useless. What's also nice about the cameras is that I don't see as many shady people around my house as I used to. I've already had reason to email photos to the police of people behaving very suspiciously on my property thanks to this surveillance system. Anyway, I'm just glad I bought this surveillance system, because it's protecting me and giving me peace of mind :-)

It seems that the digital camera is susceptible to deactivation via infrared red light assaults (law enforcement drones). I switched from the analogs, to prevent such problem but it looks like the digital is now also subject to deactivation.?? I am very serious! - 4 cameras lost in 4 weeks. Any input welcome - Hope that?s helpful.

The delivery time and support to get the system set up was excellent, however I was disapointed with the quality if the images that looked distorted particularly when there was movement. Definitely wasn't the quality of the demo footage shown on the Swann Site and definitely couldn't identify people or number plates, even vehicle identification was difficult at 12 meters.

I thought it was going to be a difficult experience to set up, but I was wrong. Swann has packed this system in such an intuitive way that setup has been a breeze. If you've hung Christmas lights, you can do this! The image quality from these cameras is excellent, much better than any other system that I've used in the past. My only problem is I need more cameras!

What a great product! This security system is user friendly and easy to set up. With four cameras you can monitor a lot of different areas. It only took me a few hours to inbox and set the entire system up. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!!

Very easy to install and use. The cameras are crystal clear, and the night vision works great. App is very easy to use and access and the 1TB Hard drive is plenty big enough for us, however upgrading to a bigger drive would be a breeze.

Ok let me start with this security system is very very cool. It has everything that you would want to have in a security system. Motion sending, night vision, 24 hour surveillance recording and much more features. The only reason for the 4 star was the installation process. You're definitely going to need to know what you're and definitely going to need a ladder. They recommend to get it a professional to install it which I wish I did. Other than that this is the system for you if you're looking to get one.

I found this system to be well thought out and comprehensive. The kit is well packaged. There is plenty of cable to be able to install cameras where you want to. The hardware is good quality. The picture quality on the cameras is impressive and even in the low light hours I can see exactly what is going on. I like that you can add additional camera to the kit. I plan on adding some soon.

This is a very nice security camera system, the vision is clear, all the cameras records at the same time, they flashes to give off warning, easy application process, lots of storage space. The Camera connection wires are very long, but Installation takes time, but well worth the wait. I would recommend the Swann security System

If you want a high end security system, that you own and run, that's somewhat affordable, this is the one! It's very user friendly, which was my main concern. It's very easy to set up and get running. Everything communicates with each other, without the fuss, as it should. 4 cameras is enough for house, but if needed, you can add more. The app works great and lets you know of any movements, nice to know when away from the home. I'm very impressed. Highly recommend!

I was shocked by the ease of install, clarity and features. It was easy to link the 1TB hard drive to my wireless network and my personal devices. The “True Detect” feature decreases the amount of false triggers that I received with my old 720p setup. The 1080p resolution really helps with clarity when you want to zoom in on a person or object. The 60ft cables were sufficient for 3 out of 4 cameras. I had to purchase an additional 100ft cable. The systems is great and I really enjoy the added sense of security!
