You would think a "KIT" with a door bell with many different tunes would come with the door bell button for this but it does not! You cannot purchase it separately or in a kit it doesn't exist. And the alarm sensors are not sold separately.

Have had two sensors working fine for two months. Original batteries still ok.The lowest volume setting is way too loud with all the merry go round music just all too much.To buy an add on sensor is expensive. The sensors work well though.

This unit comes with a preset alarm tone that sounds like an air raid siren - it is selected by default. The alternate tones are only available with an additional purchase of the 'door bell' unit (this thing will go off the whole time while you figure this out) Eventually you will work out how to select one of 3 chimes (not 36 as the marketing suggests) but by that stage the motion sensor will have started to 'go blind' and function intermittently - and then stop working all together. My unit operated fine for about 30 minutes. I returned this product for a refund.

Perfect product, except I can't change the "melody" away from the police siren - distributor does not make available door bell kit (which is a required extra purchase to enable choice of melody), so I have to take this back for a refund.

All I wanted was a simple tone to let me know someone was coming up the drive, but this obnoxious gimmick sets off a security alarm style racket. The alarm sound is only changeable if you spend more money and buy a doorbell chime, which I and presumably many others simply don't need or want!

Was disappointed when first received that I could not change noise as only wanted to know if people arriving not frighten people/friends away. When looking further into it, I switched off alarm one and re programmed 2 after listening to that switched 2 off and re programmed 3 a much better noise to alert me we have visitors

Sadly, it triggered more frequently when the sun came out, than when i walked towards it. Or past it. Have tried 4 different locations (up high, 3 places, down low once. Same result. I have a very large open area and consistently, i had to be 3 meters or closer for the alarm to trigger and it managed to trigger only, Id say 60-70 percent of the time. I even set up a test area in a light neutral inside area - same results. Not reliable enough to trust. As for the tones not being changeable unless you buy the doorbell kit, I dont remember seeing that described anywhere on the advertising or fulfilment. Overall, very disappointed and will most certainly not be buying any more Swann equipment for my home setup.

This unit only makes siren or horn sounds depending on the channel. Each only five beeps. You cannot select a chime for the driveway sensor which is not stated but falsely implied on the package. I want a refund but the hard packaging requires destruction just to get the unit out, so ineligible for refund at my supplier. Very dissapointed.

I bought this about a year ago, and it works great. The only problem is when the batteries run down, I had trouble getting the alarm and inside alert to synchronize again. Would buy it again.

Alarm too loud. Sensor is a "cone" sensor that picks up anything moving through gateway, including rabbits at night! Instructions supplied with product not very precise and not inclusive of some essential Instructions such as how to pair with different channels. Has variety of chimes which can only be used with doorbell, which is not supplied. Detector recommended to be set up 2m high, so not suitable for regular farm gate

I LOVE this device. Absolutely Perfect for letting me know if anyone is around. I did not mount my inside alert because, I can take it with me to any room in my house. The sound is EXTREMELY LOUD so it is very reliable to hear also. OVER ALL AWESOME PRODUCT.

Despite there being several preloaded chimes in the device these are only available should you add a door chime to your system. Rather than being able to select the sound you hear as someone arrives you get a default siren. Even simply allowing the sensor to be mated to the indoor unit would have allowed users to avoid jumping every time it is activated.

I fastened the sensor to a 1-inch PVC pipe about the width of my upstairs window, and then fastened the other end of the pipe to the end of the window sill with 1 screw so I can swivel downward and vertical in use, and upward to where I can reach it, clean off dust, and change the batteries, which I have done only ONCE in over a year. I patiently angled it to "see" only my driveway from the second floor window; I know when the mailman comes, when anyone drives into the driveway, or exits a vehicle in the driveway, or walks across my driveway to my front door. The second floor window keeps it out of reach from the ground. I get alarms from deer passing through the yard at night, a warm cat or skunk, but I ignore it when I hear only one alarm event. So absolutely dependable and perfect for my needs! I bought a second paired unit just to have as a spare! It's dark right now, or I would have taken a pic; I may do so at a later time.

Bought this to mount under a porch to notify us when someone approaches the front of the house. Pros: Zero false alarms. Detects as required. Wireless range at 10 meters to reciever is excellent. Cons: choice of alarm tones is confined to channel 3. Channels 1 and 2 are what can only be described as a sound effect for a prison breakout. The doorbell feature 'unlocks' a range of gentler alerts. Volume: choice of alarming, ridiculously loud or audible through brick walls. Perhaps good for the hard of hearing or commercial premises, but unsuitable for domestic settings - i have without doubt voided the warranty by poking holes in the speaker, but it is now still audible over the tv or radio on the highest volume and enough to wake you from sleep on the lowest. Red PIR light cannot be turned off. It illuminates the whole 'window' of the sensor. Not great for covert detection. May be a deterrent, but the sensor only slides down onto the mounting bracket, so can easily be removed by anyone that doesnt want to be detected. Just about to go into the colder winter months so cannot comment on battery life at this stage.

I purchased the product to monitor when my indoor/outdoor cats want to come in at the back door. It’s great, no more constant checking when it’s cold out and after dark. Bought a second monitor to put down the driveway. I like that the unit is portable and all battery operated.

We are very happy wth this product, and do not have any problems with the volume settings. I do not think the low setting is too loud. It only alarms for a few seconds as whatever making it go off passes (unless there is something continually standing in the detecting beam. We initially had the setting on low, and changed it to medium because I want to be able to hear it about the house without having to carry it around with me. I think if I am planning to be in the basement for any length of time, I would need to carry it with me or turn the volume to high. So far, we have had no false alarms from shadows or wind. It goes off when something is in our driveway, such as a person or vehicle.

Product performs well but even on the lowest volume it is too loud. The small screw in the sensor where the batteries are fitted is very fiddly to do - needs re-designing for easier access.

The owners manual is hard to understand (over complicated) but once you realise this is primarily for a door bell and secondly it is for the driveway alert. The alert sound level could be made more adjustable, even on lowest of the three settings it is way too loud. All in all though, I am pleased with the product! PS. Could do with a few more passives but none are available!

I got a doorbell kit and a PIR kit. I set up the PIR to chime one bell when it is triggered, and the doorbell to chime both bells, which is exactly what I needed.
