For our needs the system is great, the easiest to install simply plug and play. Make some final adjustments once all the cameras are in place. I added 3 further cameras to the system for added security. This is my second Swann system my first a DVR system in my previous home still going strong after 10 years. Highly recommend the brand

Almost 3 weeks I bought this product and can't complain about it so far. Sounds is clear but bit blurry number car plate because of the distance.

I bought the pro series and the picture clarity is amazing but the sensor leaves a lot to be desired. It will pick up a car going past on the road 30m away but if i walk out to the bin 10m away it doesn't pick me up. If i walk towards the camera it gets me about 6-8m away. Then it will trigger at a branch moving 30m away. Very hit and miss

Since installing this system I have had no issues. The system is easy to install and connect. This is my second Swann security system I've purchased. The first one is still working but wanted to update grade to the 4K picture quality is near perfect compared to my 720 I had before

I bought in 2020 and 3 years later am very happy with the system. It has many more features than I expected and I am slowly getting more from it. Occasionally a camera will go down but comes up if I re-boot.

I've installed 1 of my 6 cameras and none of the mentioned options in the advertising doesn't work, even the time is always 1 hour behind while in settings I have update it. The Worst one is that it's just recording the cars passing the street and NOT the People who walked in and out. It is 3 months that I'm send massage to technical support they are not responding and there is no direct contact number to technical support team too. I didn't installed the rest of cameras because this is only one of the issues. NO SUPPORT

Before I wasn't sure on how to use it so the notifications got annoying but I was able to adjust it and have it record constantly which is what I needed.

Bought this as a replacement for my 4 year old Swann which had completely failed. This seems better and improved with more storage but whilst the push notifications to my android phone work for camera power loss/restored they don't work for motion detection active - apparently its a known thing but Swann don't know how to fix it. I have followed all the online help, but it doesn't ....

The cameras are quality definition but that's about all this system has going for it. Hardware instillation is difficult and cumbersome with no thought to setup design. Screws are in difficult to access places on the cameras and the screws themselves are cheap S.steel. The instruction manuals are basic with limited information. The software set up is nothing better. No wifi connection and can only be hard wired to a TV or Monitor which is ridiculous for today. Logging in is cumbersome with a cheap mouse and on screen keyboard to click away letter by letter logins, passwords and set up. Changing the password requires a download and is not convenient at all. The app is not synced and connected to the device and requires it's own password. The how to videos are all over the place with no order to help with instillation. A very complicated system and is more designed for professionals as there is too much unique identifiers and processes for the home user. It feels like a system from the 90's that hasn't updated with technological advances.

I install the swdvk-855804wl system on 4/11/2022. This is a upgrade from a dvr-84980. I have install 6 swdvk-845808v since 2017 and all 1080p system work good. This is the second 4k system I have install. The daylight picture is great, the IR has improved and night vision is good. The color nite vision is good if you have plenty of light. The problem is there is no PreRecord. I am also using other cameras with this system and noticing some of the same result. I realize that 7 fps and moving vehicle will go through the picture fast. I have notice looking at it live the vehicles are almost out of the frame before the Pir and motion even starts. I have one camera set up where there is no traffic set at 8-max. It will only pick up a person at about 20 feet walking across the camera and at center of camera. A 1080p camera from the other system would pick up a squirrel set at 6 same location. Three cameras facing a road (road blocked out at 45 to 50 feet) sensitivity set at 7 to be able to pick a person walking in range ( 20 to 30 feet) and they pick up the vehicles. If I lower the sensitivity then it does not pick up a person until right at the camera. I have done a walk test in front of the cameras and walking one way it will detect. Walking back the same path it will not detect. I have notice the cameras are very slow to detect movement. All of these test were done in daylight. Night time is another story. I am also using a swpro-5mpsb camera on the 5580 dvr, it has dropped the Pir setting all together. This DVR is a little more noisy and not for a bedroom. I have written Swann Tech Support on 4/30/2022 and as of 5/21/2022 have not received any response at all. Unless you are in tight quarters recording I can not recommend This 4k system.

These systems seems to lose connection all the time. Being that they are cat wired it's sad. The app is also very slow and is Terrible. I also have wize set-up for in home use and it works way better. Wize is wireless net and the app is amazing. Swann needs to step up the game. Cameras are good if and when all are working right.

In about 8 months 3 out of 4 cameras had flickering security lights when triggered. When the first one started acting up I initiated a warranty claim by email. This was a fairly lengthy process, by the time I had the first camera approved for replacement the others had failed. I asked if I could get those handled at the same time and was told I would have to start separate claims. It is not worth the hassle to do this for me. I just turned off the security light function. Obviously these lights are a issue if I have 3 out of four doing this.

I do have other security cameras that only records when there's a movement and sometimes it doesn't records everything however my new swann DVR_ 4680 records 24/7 great quality videos and captures everything around my house with the 10 cameras

I brought this two weeks ago and not impressed with the picture quality has it doesn?t look like 4k more like 720p pretty much the same before I upgraded and looks a little fussy at time. Had issues with the Ethernet port being faulty at times. To be honest my other set up is seven years old and I don?t see much difference.

Disappointing system as videos on website make out that resolution is much better than actual system once installed. Can?t even read a car rego parked on road way stationary when camera has perfect angle and daylight with no glare. Trying to access so called 24/7 support is a joke as on many attempted got thru and a phone call once to be cut off and person never called back so overall don?t rate Swann at all in regards to products or support and will be requesting to return system for full refund

I have working with good success a DVR8-5580G system at home with 4 cabled cameras and the DVR device connected and monitoring by internet with Swan Security iOS iPhone software. Can I add a WiFi camera to the DVR 5580G system and control it similar as the other ones in same account ? I read about the WIFI-SPOTCAM Spotlight Outdoor Security Camera, can it works ? Which other WIFI camera model do you recommend ? With 4k ?

I purchased this security system couple of weeks ago and installed it at my house. Installation set up is very easy. I was expecting to get a decent system with high standard of accessories but I was disappointed with the standard of low quality data cables provided with the system. And cameras have nerrow angle view, I was expecting to get wide angle view this price tag. The voice system is also very noisy especially in there is wind blowing one can hardly hear any other noise. My overall rating is average on this system.

I was able to get mine installed today and it went relatively quick. The hardest park was maneuvering my overweight behind in the ceiling without giving my wife a new leg fixture downstairs. Easy to install and set up.

Installed 4 of the 8 cameras today. Easy to setup. Image quality great. Until all but one fogged up. A bit concerning. Will be installing the remaining 4 tomorrow. If any of those fog up, I'll will be getting them replaced under warranty. The image on the one that isn't fogged up looks great. Review is middle of the road at the moment. Will change depending on what happens to with the condensation and Swanns attitude toward replacements.
