I bought this to augment my set of existing cameras. I wanted a camera in plain view where it is easy to see from the street but I don't have power to that part of the house. I've heard that once a thief decides to break in to your house, it doesn't matter if you have an alarm, cameras, dog, etc. they will just work faster. So I want a camera (along with the included security stickers clearly visible from the street so would be thieves, vandals and trespassers will quickly decide not to mess with our property.

I recently put one of these in my office, no connections. People saw it and I watched there reaction, they thought it was real. I put in place just to keep the boys honest and it works. We had a few thing misplaced and thats why I installed it. I highly recommend just keep the box hidden. I just wish it had a fake red light or green to make it look more real.
