The charger also includes a 90W DC 4-pin XLR power supply to power most cameras. When in "Hypercine" power supply mode, the charger doubles as a battery bank, paralleling all the on-board battery packs to provide continuous power. The charger's LCD reports back available capacity as well as remaining runtime. With the optional "Hypercine module," the charger provides both unregulated 12V-16.8V 4-pin XLR, as well as 28V regulated 3-pin XLR DC outputs. Please note that the battery health testing function currently works only with the newer digital batteries, such as the Hypercore ones. More basic Switronix batteries and batteries from other brands may not be compatible with this feature.

Love it!

I'm now on my 3rd one of these chargers. The first made a loud whistling noise. The second smelled of burning. The third works well. Despite the initial quality problems, this is a great charger and the ability to test a battery's health is quite valuable. However, it is not at all clear that this function only currently works with the newer digital batteries (i.e. the Hypercore ones). The more basic Switronix batteries and batteries from other brands do not work. While this would otherwise be a 5 star product, I'm deducting 1 star for the quality problems and another because the battery compatibility issues should be made clear in the product description (on the manufacturer's site too). I should not have to call support after I buy it to discover this.
